Am I wrong in thinking this way?

When I was single, my friends address invitations to me, using my name...and sign off with their name and then their partners name.

I'm married now, and when these same friends send me invitations, they now use my husbands name first and then my name. Then when signing off they still use their name first.

Why would they now all of a sudden put my husbands name first? Especially if they are signing off with their name first and not their husbands name. And they don't know my husband that well...

I think it's frustrating that now that I'm married, I'm put second on the invite from my friends...Do they not value me anymore as an individual?

I can understand if it's a formal invitation...MR & MRS.....but it's an informal invitation for a BBQ...surely the person whom you are friends with should be first on the invite?

hmmmm ummm idk your name so ummm excuse me on this mam i think you are completely and utterly in the right to think that. it is kinda messed up that they do that but i dont think its cuz they dont think of you as an individual. Maybe they were taught like that because they might be afraid it might offend him in some way and after all they are your friends so they dont wanna ruin it between you two right? you did say they dont know him very well so that might be the case. sorry i cant help further
