what's better, 15 min excerise...?
I need to do some excerise this evening...however I only have about a 15 min gap before I have to do something else...
I'm interested in excerise for my health, ie better heart rate, and to loose the fat around my middle. And am only a new starter to treadmill exercises.
Would it be better to do intervals for 15 mins, or just go all out for that 15 mins?

I agree with the first answer... In general you would want to do intervals (sprint then rest). but with only 15 minutes to do it You might want to just Go as hard as you can for that 15 minutes. unless you want to do short intervals. Say 1.5 minute slow jog and 30 seconds hard sprint. either way, do what you can to get your heart rate up and keep it up for that 15 minutes.

15 minutes of exercise is not enough for any kind of health benefits or weight reduction results. You need at least 30-45 minutes a day. It is also important to reduce your calorie intake if you are consuming more calories than your activity level.
The best physical activity involves as many muscle groups as possible. Walking is a pretty good way to get exercise but if you can do a little weight lifting, sports, gardening, ect...these involve multiple muscle groups and when you increase your muscle mass you burn more calories. The best way to do this is possibility 30-45 minutes in the morning and 20-30 minutes in the afternoon. Start light and increase as you feel the resistance is lessening. Drink lots of water.
Also, during the day do things like, walk to the mail box, park your car at the back of the parking lot and walk to the store, take the stairs instead of the elevator, an anything else to add to your daily activity and I grantee you will get results fast.

in 15 mins u cant do a cardio as it'll just take that much time to warm up. what u can do in 15 mins is a good strech. look up youtub.com for some videos on streching exercises and esp 15 min ones. streching will relax the muscles and make u feel lighter. a good strech loosen up the muscles.

It depends what you have to do afterwards. If you've got to use energy after 15 minutes, don't go all out, but aim to get puffed out at least. The lactic acid will do your muscles some good.
