Leather Jacket. What is a really good make.?
I am looking to buy a leather motorcycle jacket and would like to know if anyone can recommend a make that is good for price and quality. I ride a Triumph Bonneville T100 in the Summer months and would like something that blends in with that type of bike. I know that Triumph market motorcycle clothing but all the jackets have ' Triumph ' emblazoned all over them and I'm not keen on this.
Thank you for your responses so far; some useful info. here.

go to any decent reliable dealer selling motorcycle clothing. Look for cowhide 1-1.5mm thick with stitching no closer than about 3mm apart otherwise it will weaken the seam. A reputable dealer will not sell you cheap or unsuitable clothing as he has his good name to consider. There is little to choose between brands, opt for the one that fits the best, you don't want to roll out of it an off !

Here is where I got my last two street jackets. They are amazingly well constructed. They are made in the USA, and their customer service is the best I have ever dealt with online.
They aren't cheap, but they are worth it.
I paid nearly $500 for a custom sized jacket though them (standard sizes cheaper) but I managed to find one my exact size on ebay and paid $125.00 for it. Now I have two. One is a cruiser jacket and the other is more of a race jacket, though it is not something you would wear on the track since it isn't armored. It does have tripple thickness leather on the elbows and shoulders though. It's a heavy jacket, but the venting system works really well.
Even if you don't buy from them, they are worth a look.

i think of what's performed is done, you basically ought to nicely known the sacrifice the animal made for you - which you're of course doing. keep in mind which you would be able to get "humane" categorized meats, that's a lots bigger time-honored of treatment in the direction of animals. very few agencies do it, so i like to help those that do, because of the fact the beef marketplace right that's in basic terms twisted. this is like balloting with my dollar. If I spend all of my funds on the kinder stuff and inspire truthfully everyone i understand to do it besides, perchance ultimately the beef marketplace will ought to alter to help the shopper base. EDIT: After further theory in this, you ought to evaluate the theory-approximately plastics rather for leather-based. in case your footwear isn't created from leather-based, this is created from plastic, and fabrics, that's dealt with with terrible chemical compounds (flame retardant neurotoxins as an occasion) that are detrimental for the ambience that's destroying our earth (killing animals AND their environments) even greater advantageous than the beef/leather-based marketplace. I wager you ought to discover some hippie footwear nonetheless.

Icon, Alpinestars, and Vanson Leathers. Vanson would be your best bet to find a jacket to match your bike. They make some retro style jackets and they're great quality. WWW.vansonleathers.com

If you want the best, go to your HD shop. It will cost you , but it's the best, BTW, they are made in the USA. My 2nd choice would be Hein Gericke
