Should Obama be tried for War Crimes?

Liberals loved to say that Bush should be tried for war crimes for "murdering" innocent Iraqis. Now that Obama authorized the raid in Pakistan that killed civilians as well as militants, should he be tried for war crimes and murder as well?

Yes, impeach him! He's a war mongering murderer! Bring our troops home NOW!

we need to go after Bush and Cheney for 1. Lying to the American people for the purposes of engaging this country in an act of illegaly invading a sovereign nation. 2.Being wholly complict in outing a CIA agent. An act of TREASON punishable by death.3. Authorizing warrantless wiretapes. And 4. Authorizing torture. If some of you don't know what "torture" is, let someone waterboard you and get back to me. Anything less than investigation and prosecution will be an embarrassment to this country... The reason that you don't torture is to create an international standard of human rights wherein torture is illegal and criminal automatically. Then, when your soldiers are captured, they have at least moral and hopefully practical claim to not be tortured. Many more of our enemies will use torture on us in the future if we lead an international consensus that says it's ok and won't be prosecuted. That's why we don't bomb the enemy's hospitals in a war. There is no question that the people who committed torture -- people who killed detainees, for example, as well as those who physically assaulted them -- need to be prosecuted and punished. Period. There is no alternative. I hate to be absolutist, but if we want torture to take place in the future, we should ignore the past. If we want to prevent torture, we should deal with the past so we don't repeat it... We cannot tolerate the rape of the people's government and injustice that the Bush Admin has incurred. The people demand accountibility and a sign to others that greed and criminality WILL NOT be allowed to shape America or the world! Investigations and prosecutions MUST be part of OUR MOVING FORWARD! There can be no peace and now freedom until the war criminals Bush and Cheney are in prison.

Absolutely not. There was a bipartisan agreement in 2001 to go after Osama bin Laden. George W. Bush let his own emotions (George H. W. Bush and Gulf War) play into the foreign policy agenda. He got distracted in Iraq. There was a bipartisan vote to disarm and dismantle the Hussein regime which was done so in 2003 (let alone faulty evidence leading us there in the first place), but after a new Government was set up; the country should be given back to its people. President Obama had not even voted for the Iraq war.

President Obama is sticking to our initial goal in the "War on Terror". To stamp out al Queda and capture/kill Osama bin Laden. He will end this war where it was started, with the group who killed 2000 innocent Americans on 9/11. The Afghanistan border with Pakistan backs into tribal Pakistani regions with no true Government overruling. Much intelligence has pointed to those areas as land used for al Queda training bases, and the al Queda headquarters. If the Pakistani government will not help the U.S. find the men who have killed 2000 innocent civilians, the U.S. should have full right to go into the region and find them themselves.

Should he? No. Will he be? No. You have to remember, there is always an exception for a left wing democrat. Whatever they do that is opposite of what they said is good for everybody. That is unless it's done by a republican and then and only then is it a war crime.

As far as I know, Obama hasnt hit civilian targets the way Bush did in shock and awe.

and Obama has actual intelligence to support his strike. Bush used intelligence made up by Cheney and leaked to the New York Times

No, because Obama inherited the dismal situation from Bush. Bush started the war on false pretenses, lied to the American people, and sent thousands of Americans to their deaths in a pre-emptive war that was based on "intelligence" he knew was false.

Bush broke the law by defying the Constitution, spying on people, and transferring the greatest amount of wealth from the middle class to his wealthy buddies. Let Texas have its village idiot back.

Liberal hypocrisy at it's finest. Now that their guy owns the war, it's remarkable how libs have gone silent wrt to alleged atrocities and war crimes.

It would only be fair to try, right?

I said it with Bush, I'll say it about Israel and I'll extend Obama the courtesy.

War is a terrible thing -- sometimes there is collateral damage.

Nobody wants civilians to die and certainly nobody plans for that.

Liberals have two different sets of standards. One for them and one for the rest of the world...get used to it. Narrow minded people are impossible to change.

More people have been killed in Chicago during the last 8 years than Americans in Iraq, so yes let's put him under the spot light for war crimes.
