My 11 month old is eating barely any solid foods lately. What are some reasons he would not want to eat?
He doesn't have a fever and doesn't seem to be in any pain or anything. He still drinks formula but he doesn't seem to be taking quite as much of that either. When we try to feed him he just pushes everything away. He eats maybe 2-3 bites the whole day. We offer food 3 times a day of course and some snacks but he just won't eat. He has always been a big eater.
He has like 8 teeth, but I do think he's getting his molars, but normally he's fussier when he's getting teeth.

He could just be too busy to eat. My daughter (now 28 months) went through the same thing from about 12-24 months old.
I talked to the doctor and she told me to offer her nutritious food multiple times throughout the day. The doctor said not to worry if she doesn't sit down and eat a full meal because it's just that she is a busy little toddler wanting to do other things than sit still for five mins to eat.
So it was a lot of work to feed her the past year, but I think she's finally grown out of that phase somewhat.
I would let her walk around the house to eat as well which seemed to work. That way she could do what she wanted and eat at the same time.
Chicken fingers, go-gurt tubes, cheese, lunch meat, carrots, berries etc. where awesome. It got annoying because I was constantly cleaning up after her, but at least she was eating! Now she is confined to the high-chair while she eats, but I didn't transition her to the high-chair until I knew she was capable of sitting still and focusing on a meal first. I would also put a teaspoon of ovaltine in her milk, the extra flavor and sweetness really did the trick, she loved it! And it has vitamins and minerals. It does have sugar, but I limited the quantity to a teaspoon which was fine for her.
Good luck!

I have a 10 month old and am going through the same thing. Teething is the most likely reason. I know for sure that's our problem, we just got 3 of the 4 top teeth in about two weeks ago and obviously are waiting for that 4th tooth.

My son is the same, hes nearly 11 months and it teething. Just be patient with him, keep trying to feed solids, some days he my not want it but try. As long as he is drinking milk it should be okay. Loss of appetite is the main symptom of teething so dont worry. As long as he is healthy, growing and putting on weight he should be fine. Good luck

by potential of the time my daughter replaced into 9 months old, we've been feeding her 3 "genuine" foodstuff an afternoon. that is recommended to furnish her greater advantageous than in straightforward terms a jar of infant nutrition for breakfast. have you ever tried giving her any genuine fruit? We began with bananas. cut back them up into rather small products and enable her feed herself. My daughter enjoyed them! Then perchance introduce some yogurt. It rather relies upon on the quantity of tooth she has, once you think of approximately what you are able to feed her. yet i think of she must be ingesting a splash greater advantageous than what you're giving her. My pediatrician pronounced giving our daughter merely little bits of what my husband and that i've got been ingesting. Its good prepare for them! additionally - that is recommended to start employing sippy cups rather of maximum of bottles. i think of the later you start up attempting to get them to provide up employing their bottle, the greater good that is. good luck!!!
