Looking for recommendations of wedding venues in the Connecticut or New England Area?

I'm getting married in the summer/fall of 2010 and I can't find a venue.

*50-75 guests

*ceremony & reception at same location

*indoor reception (enclosed tent okay)

*beautiful scenery a must

Please provide suggestions...Thank you!

I would recommend Tarrywile Park & Mansion in Danbury, CT. It is a gorgeous park with a mansion on the grounds that can be rented out for a sit-down dinner/reception for up to 100 people. I loved it there, but it doesn't hold enough people for my wedding! http://www.danbury.org/tarry/

My cousin got married at the Sea Crest Resort in North Falmouth, MA (Cape Cod). It was very pretty. It's a nice resort right on the beach! You can have your ceremony on the beach or in one of the function halls. http://www.seacrest-resort.com/

I'm getting married at the Pavilion on Crystal Lake in Middletown, CT. It has an outdoor ceremony site with a gazebo overlooking the lake and an indoor reception hall. The only issue is they have a minimum guest requirement of 125 (there's a $25 fee for each person short you are of 125). This isn't a big deal for my wedding of almost 200 guests. http://www.pavilion-catering.com/

Basin Harbor Club, Vermont- Im planning on getting married there when I get more to the age. Its so pretty, right on lake champlain- Beautiful gardens. They have a dock called the north dock- it already has a tent, right. RIGHT on the water, It does have a wedding archy kind of thing by the dock, I have seen to weddings there over the summer last year (not for anyone I know) but there are a lot.

If you don't mind driving a little, The Hawk Inn in Plymouth, VT is a gorgeous place! Great scenery, tent, and staff! I am getting married there and it is so pretty! It is a lot cheaper than I thought it would be and the package includes a lot! Good luck!
