oxytetracycline.. is it the answer to my skin problem?

im 25 and have had moderate acne since i was around 13 (nice!), i have tried numerous creams gels and facewash's prescribed to me by my doctor over the years.... but to no avail so i thought id just have to 'deal with it'

from the age of about 18 ive started developing abscesses, usually around every other month one would crop up behind my ear or on my cheek..etc and has since left scarring, only 4 months ago after finally breaking down and crying in the GP's office after having to get her to lance it... shes checked my blood levels (but were fine) and put me on a course of oxytetracycline for 6 months... its been 3 months and if anything the oil on my face has got worse and another absess has appeared

would anyone on here have any advice about what i should do next. the doctors in my area are famous for not really giving a s@#t and she seems to not really want to refer me to a dermatologist...

im abit confused as to what the next step would be as when my face does flare up the pain is so intense i literally cant sleep or anything

help!

Try a natural soap called tea tree. It is very drying to the boils and that is what you need to clear up the bacterial problem. Use a mild moisturizer like aveeno after wards but only if your face becomes really dry and you can't stand it anymore. Do your research on tea tree, it is a miracle what this product can do. Remember, anything herbal takes time, it doensn't happen over night. Be patient and i hope you see the result, anything is better than having to be lanced.
