Any hope for a "Lava Lamp" ?

I have a "real" lava lamp (that I got back in the 70's) that has been sitting out in my shop for awhile and I decided to get it out and see if it worked but the "Lava" no longer moves...Its like it separated into two different substances...one at the top and one laying on the bottom...I have tried turning off and letting it cool down and then turing it back on again and also shaking it to see if I could mix the ingredients again....Is there something else I can do or am I just "Lavaless"

I have SEVERAL that have done that, one did not budge an inch for months!!! And then ONE last time after all that time i decided to try once more b/c it was my fave one{pink of course} and it worked!! And im telling u that was after trying to soooo many times and literally leaving it plugged in/on for hours! Wish i knew what to do w/ them :(

I have about 6 that work whenever they want-lol I was literally thinking bout trying to find someone that POSSIBLY repaired them/ I tried new bulbs-everything we could think of.BUT i know i heard your r NEVER supposed to shake them!!! I would not toss it though bc it may be like mine and just suddenly start working again-OR if u dont feel like fooling w/ it just replace it b/c them older ones are on ebay i seen them in red n gold for rather cheap prices too!

    Good Luck!
