What would you do if your cat broke one of your drums?

My really fat cat, angel, somehow broke one of my drums, what do I do?

Update:

Actually, SHE doesn't eat much, probably just her genes. Angel does not eat corn, she eats fish and meat.

Well it's your fault for feeding him cheap dry food made mostly of corn - that's how cats get fat. So switch his diet to a healthier food with MEAT as the main ingredient, stop free feeding him and add canned food to his diet.

I had a ferret knock over my 100th Anniversary Gibson Gospel guitar a few years ago - snapped it right at the headstock. It cost me $350 to get it fixed. I didn't do anything to the ferret other than shake my head at him. It's not his fault I had it leaning against the wall on a tile floor for a few moments and I KNEW he was fascinated with what lied beyond the hole on the front of the guitar. I just was more careful after that with my guitars so they wouldn't get broken.

I would tell you to go to a shop and see if it can at least be patched or get a new one if not. As for the cat he needs to learn boundaries. Get a water gun or squirt bottle and wet him. When he gets near anything to important. You need to train him. If you are too lazy go to google dr fosters they sell this like doormats or alarms that you can of in the door of your room. It will send a vibration or sound only they can feel and they will avoid the room with your drum. Also feed your cat less fatty food. Cats don't have the enzymes necessary in their saliva to digest carbohydrates. Typical cats foods are full of them. When picking their food make sure the first five ingridients are things you would eat. Avoid anything that says animal fatbor some kind of by product. Play with your cat so he can lose weight and live happy and healthy. I find string and lasers work the best.

Once you repair or replace the drum, it will probably start to seem funny. I'd just keep something on top of the drums so the cat isn't tempted to lounge there. Fat, silly kitty!

Get a new drum. Keep your cat away from them.

How did it break the drum? Fix it. Wood filler and/or replacement parts from Drummaker.com

Then, sell the stupid cat to pay for repairs/replacement.

replace the drum and try to keep them in a room where your cat doesnt have access.

i hope you dont plan on punishing your cat. they dont know any better. theyre naturally curious animals & if you cannot understand that then you shouldnt own one.

You should put your kitty on a better diet (try grain-free for weight problems... Wellness Core and Evo by Innova is wonderful) and encourage exercise by playing with her frequently.
