why does everyone hate dragonforce?

I saw them live at Ozzfest and that did it for me.

I don't hate them, so there goes your whole question. OK, in all fairness I've only heard a few songs and I'm a Guitar Hero player so I like the song cause it's one of the harder ones to play and makes me look good.

Guitar Hero needs to get some more Anthrax, Crue, Skid Row, Gunners in there... get rid of the rubbish. Besides it's Guitar hero... where is Yngwie?

Rant over... I don't hate Dragonforce.

Their first album, "Valley of the Damned", was the only good album they've ever made (I'm still very into this album). Everything else was just a mediocre imitation of it. They sped it up repeatedly, to the point where they can't even play it themselves.

Never thought they were all that horrible though. I criticize their personal musicianship a lot more than their studio efforts, which (if you ignore the fact that they can't play half of it), wasn't half-bad. Generic Power Metal, but not all that awful.

They're just a very horrible cheap imitation of metal. Plus they're music is cheesy and so is their name. Also because people have been put in the mind set that Herman Li is incredilbly great at guitar and he's the best, but really it's all just effects.

2 I don't know for a fact if they speed up their songs in studio, but either way, the songs are too fast and messy sounding

3 Songs sound the same - fast, bad, etc

4 Video game sound effects - Really?

5 The riffs they play demonstrate almost no musicianship, whereas "Black Sheep" by Sonata Arctica shows hoe technically proficient their musicians are.

everyone hates dragon force because they cant keep up with their own pace they speed the guitar up in the recording studio i went to mayhem tour and they played the guitar a hell of a lot slower

their first cd or 2 were actually good. then something happened and they went all video game on us.

i dont like them because they supposedy are incredibly fast and some of the best players, but to me it sounds like a whole lot of tapping and someone who had no time on their hands but to play scales up and down until their fingers bled

OK, if those ain't enough, how about that they are frauds? ALL of their music is sped up in the studio. They CAN'T play that fast, so to make themselves sound "cool" they cheat. THAT is why they suck live.

Plus...speed for the sake of doesn't make it MUSIC. As for th edude who thinks that their guitarist is great, maybe you need to learn how to play yourself so you can tell a fraud when you here one.

Oh..and the Dungeons and Dragons lyrics are just plain bad.

theyre intimidated by the fact that the guitarist is insanely good and most of the time if it shows up on guitar hero ppl begin to hate it for no reason

they got famous from guitar hero

all their songs and albums sound like video game titles...

and whenever i hear one of their songs some place i get really stressed for some reason o__0

they are flat on variety

they are way generic,

there are a million that sound like them,

they make money from nothing!
