Second pregnancy... Is it normal to feel like this?

I really shouldn't be complaining but I guess since I was SO sick with my first pregnancy, I'm a little worried. I am 9 weeks along with baby #2, my baby right now is only 7 months old. (I am happily married, and we planned it this way. We wanted them close) Anyhow, I haven't felt much of anything. I don't feel sick like I did with my 1st. I don't get as nauseous, not quite as tired, etc.... For the most part, I feel great. Almost how I did before I got pregnant. I guess my question is this: Am I just comparing this pregnancy too much with my first? Am I just "pregnant" and hormonal and that's why I'm so worried. I guess I just would like some mature adult thoughts. Thanks for all your time!

Every pregnancy is different. Unfortunately, when your pregnant you seem to end up worrying about everything. I even googled to see if too much fetal movement could mean there's a problem. I'm sure if I thought she wasn't moving enough I would have googled that. It's natural to worry, but lots of women feel pretty good during their pregnancy. I never really got sick when I was pregnant.

Was your first a boy? I've heard that sometimes boys can make you feel more nauseous because of the testosterone, but that could be an old wives tale. Just enjoy the non-discomfort and congratulations!

Yes, you are comparing the previous pregnancy with this one too much. I caught myself trying to do that too. It didn't work. Everything about this one has been different. I wasn't sick with the first one, but was sick for 4 months with this one. I gained 60lbs with the first one, and so far only 20 with this one at 36 weeks. My first one didn't want to come out and had to be induced. This one they have had to stop labor 5 times.

No pregnancy is exactly like the first. In fact the chances of having two even remotely similar is about 1out of every 65.

Calm down and try to enjoy this one since you aren't sick and are feeling better than you did with the last one.

You should try not to stress yourself as every pregnancy is different. Just because you were sick with your first etc doesn't mean you will be this time and it must be a blessing if you aren't =]

    All the best xx

both my pregnancies have been quite different, they were close together too, so i'm constantly comparing them too, but they are both very different, and my first was a boy, 2nd is a girl, so i'm wondering if the sex of the baby makes a difference

Every pregnancy is different. Be happy you don't have to go through it all all over again! Good luck with the new baby.
