You were lied to, only in that Obama won't pull the troops out of Iraq one day sooner than the Military tells him is prudent. Just like Bush would have done, and just like McCain would have been counseled to act had he been elected.

anyone with half a brain would realize just packing up and leaving at this point is impossible.
Also, anyone with any intelligence whatsoever would actually check to see what was said about Iraq, rather than believing talk radio drivel that was puked into their minds around election time.

Obama has set a timeline to have all combat troops out within 16 months.

As soon as Dems had a majority they voted to tie overseas military funding to a withdrawal from Iraq.
