child's "suicide" in Chicago?

It is very unlikely that such a young child would willingly commit suicide. But there are more alternative answers than murder.
No one is discussing "the choke game" which is fairly popular with kids as a cheap high. I had a 11 year old nephew who died from it.
Suicide is indeed possible, but to overlook the Choking Game game on the menu of possibilities is not right.
And NEVER depend on news reports and statements from either family or school officials to be "truth." They are only official statements for public comsumption.

Suicide for a 10 year old is quite possible...though very tragic. Think back in time to when you were 10. DI you have a happy life? Were you bullied? What I don't believe about this is that they ruled suicide. I'd like to see a grown person try to step on a toilet to hang themselves on the hook. It's preposterous. A 10 year old boy simply could not reach that.

It depends on the environment. I knew someone who had a family member die of suicide and he tried to commit suicide at 5. True story. And if your 11 then you're plenty old enough to want to kill yourself.
