Question about the so called Economic Crisis?

Does anyone else see the connection between the current economic crisis and companies that are poorly managed?

It seems to me that the only ones having problems are the mega-rich (Car companies and banks) and the rest of us have yet to be affected.

There are still pages and pages of ad's in the paper for jobs, people are still hiring, my work is busier than ever. The only ones complaining are the ones that have made mistakes or let their business be managed by a bunch of meat heads.

What do you think?

Update:

Thank you for regurgitating the news David. You didn't actually answer the question though.

No I don't think that's it. I think that doesn't help, but small businesses are hurting. Self employed people are hurting (they can't file for unemployment therefore they don't tend to get counted in the 'jobs lost' count).

I think the big guys were maybe the ones that facilitated it, but it now effects everyone. I think the reason you hear about all the big companies is because they make a lot of money and employ a lot of people. It isn't news worthy to report that Steve's Photocopying had to lay off two people, but reporting that Caterpillar is laying off 5,000, with possibilities of laying off 20,000 gets a lot of attention.

Today there were more jobs cut than in any time since 1974. Millions of average Americans are out of work.
