Are you using the right oil for this rifle? .22 air rifle??? Sure it is not a .177 cal pellet or BB rifle? Could be it was over pumped or a gasket blew out. You can take it to a sporting goods store for their opinion!! Tagger
Dry firing is when you shoot the rifle with no ammo in the breach. Tagger

only use airgun oil in airguns or slick 50. other oils will damage the seals. Tim Mcmurray @ mac1airgun.com is the best there is to repair benjamins. you can get parts from crossman.com if you want to try and fix it yourself, and they also have diagrams and instuctions on how to do it. sounds like a seal might be damaged.the best thing about benjamins is you can dry fire benjamin 392 with no problems. with the bolt open, see if the air is coming out the pump handle or the receiver ,that will tell you if its the seal on the pump or cylinder.

Sounds like its time to buy a new one! Admiral, what Irv means by "dry" firing is when you pump it up and fire the rifle "without" having ammo in the chamber.. In other words, shooting it with out any pellets.
