Does it matter how global warming is happening for you to do something about it?

It seems we all agree "something" is warming the earth - maybe we all don't agree on how or what is causing it but I wonder if the fact that it is happening creates a reaction in you to figure out how to adapt to climate change?

Update:

Well, 5 answers and still no one wants to tell me how they might adapt, too busy trying to be right about the issue?

Dana, your comparison of me to Sarah Palin is a little harsh, I didn't say I don't believe man isn't causing it. Whether man caused it or it is a natural cycle dosen't matter anymore, we are in this thick and it will take us many many years to"fix" it - if we even can. So, my point was: will we do anything to adapt to the changes - or do you all think there are no changes to adapt to?

Update 2:

James, stick to the question at hand. Do you have an answer or just more propaganda?

Yes it absolutely matters. Actually this question reminds me of Sarah Palin. She used to say that humans weren't causing global warming. When McCain picked her as his VP candidate, she changed her tune a little saying it doesn't really matter what's causing it, we just have to fix it.

You can't fix a problem if you don't know what's causing it. If some magical natural cycle that we don't know about is causing global warming, there's not much we can do about it. It's quite clear at this point that humans are causing global warming (summary of the evidence linked below), which is both good and bad news.

The good news: we have control over the situation, so we can take action to stop the warming.

The bad news: it's going to be really hard to do because we're so dependent on fossil fuels at this point, and we need serious greenhouse gas emissions reductions very fast.

Since the Sun is the cause, there is nothing man can do but adapt. Since the changes are so gradual, most people will be unable to detect it for decades. Adaptation is a response to change. How about we wait until we detect a change before we adapt to it?

Yes we do agree on that, but we also know for certain it is none of the items the warmers have proposed because they will not let us replace coal coal, oil, gas fired plants with nuclear or solar furnaces, Why?

Co2 is not a problem, never has been and never will be.

A newly found study focusing on first where does the increase in atmospheric co2 really come from. Second what is the relative effectiveness of co2 to water in heat retention of the atmosphere.

If the sun is the prime mover of the climate, what do we do?

Last I heard we don't have a fire truck big enough to put it out.

Well obviously if it turns out not to be caused by man then man probably cannot do anything to stop it.
