2a² = 7a
2a² - 7a = 0
a(2a - 7) = 0
a = 0
(2a - 7) = 0
2a = 7
a = 7/2
a = {0, 7/2}

I am assuming you are just learning factoring. First subtract the 7a from the left to the right side. The quation now looks like: 2a^2 - 7a = 0. At this point, factor out one 'a' from each term. The equation looks like:
a(2a - 7) = 0. There are two possible answer to this problem. Notice that if either a or 2a - 7 is equal to 0, the equation is satisfied. So, now there are 2 mini equations. the first is a = 0, and 2a - 7 = 0. So solve each, the first is already done, the second's answer is a = 7/2. Both are correct

First get the term you're solving for on one side, so divide each side by a:
(2a^2)/a=(7a)/a
Now we have the equation 2a=7, and we want to get a by itself, so you divide each side by 2
(2a)/2=7/2
and we get the result
a=7/2

2a²-7a=0
a(2a-7)=0
a=0 or 2a-7=0
a=0, 7/2

4a^2=7a
a^2=(7/4)a
From here it is guess and check.
I checked a few times, and eventually came up with 1.75. So show a few wrong checks, and then.
1.75^2=3.0625
(7/4)1.75=3.0625
a=1.75

first off u have to divide by 2 on each side. so u get a^2=3.5a. then u divide by a and u get a = 3.5. think thats wat it would be
