Could it be Minor Frostbite?

Last week we had major snowfall, and so my wife went outside to make snowmen with my daughter. She was wearing cotton gloves which got wet after a while and they made made 3 medium sized snowmen. Though her hands felt cold, she didn't feel any pain. One week has passed and she's been complaining since that day about her finger constantly feeling uncomfortable. The finger looks fine and the color looks normal, but she gets an electric current type of feeling running through it, and it hurts if she waves her hands or puts pressure on it. Could it be minor frostbite? If so, how long should we expect it to last?

This could very well have been frostbite and they symptoms can last for several weeks. The bad thing about frostbite is that it makes the fingers even more susceptible to discomfort each time that they get cold from now on. Time will take care of this episode and from now on, she needs to make sure she has enough protection over her fingers to prevent this from happening again.
