How much of the stimulus package do you understand?

Can anyone explain to me what is going on regarding health care and also whether or not they are planning stimulus checks again? I keep watching various news programs and to be quite honest the more I listen the more confused I become.

Update:

For the record, I see some of you are getting thumbs down on your answers, I am not giving any thumbs down. I appreciate all answers and thank everyone who replies for taking the time to read the question and type out an answer.

700 plus pages and I am having a lot of trouble understanding it.

No I don't know and based on all the answers here, none of you know either. All you people are doing is regurgitating partisan crap you heard somewhere else.

    Peace

Kimi, Try not to take all the jargon in at once, It's really not difficult if you focus on one part at a time, Concerning health care, Basically what Obama and his liberal buddies are doing, Is trying little by little to move us to a national health care system, He knows the American people would never go for this if he presented it as an individual bill , So what he's done is sneak it into the stimulus bill along with a bunch of other garbage that has nothing to do with stimulating the economy, As it stands now, There will be no stimulus checks as far as I know, But that could change, As they are debating back and forth over what gets included in this bill now .

I know for me personally as a single man, The $600 bucks I received from Bush in 2008 helped me out tremendously, But I am not one of these people who only thinks about me, I want these schmucks in Washington to do what's right for the country, Which is highly unlikely, But I can always hope. This so called stimulus bill is a big mistake, Basically what the government needs to do is stop spending our tax dollars and let the economy mend itself, No doubt this will take time, And things will get worse before they get better, But this nonsense of the Washington jokers mortgaging our kids future is not the answer. I hope this helps, You can message or email me if you have anymore questions. God bless.

The most striking aspect of the stimulus plan is that it is a clever way of taxing the working class while actually raising the national debt. If the government prints a trillion dollars then all existing dollars will be devalued. The wealthy would scream bloody murder if their wealth was diminished, so they get a bailout to compensate. Ordinary working people will find that our wages, social security benefits and capital worth are diminished. Devious, is it not?

the government will now be the final decision on the course of and who will recieve healthcare, to be determined on age and prognosis, yes you will be getting another stimulus check, and yes the government will grow even larger we are currently at 17% OF THE gdp AFTER THE STIMULUS THE GOVERNMENT WILL BE AT 40% WHICH MEANS AN INCREASE TO THE SIZE OF EUROPE,after all is said and done we will be a truly european socialist country. This is a very sad day for liberty and freedom

This is easy to understand. The big corporations get all the money and the average poor tax payer pays for it. Bend over people because your about to take it in the @$$.

  • It's supposed to originally help out the Middle & Poor Class but thanks to the Republicans as usual it looks like the Rich will be the ones who will benefit.
