Champainge: Need to Find a good, semi-cheap champaige for an anniversary?
I work at a hotel and we try to help our guests out as much as possible. Well we know one of our favorite guests is having an anniversary coming up this week and we are putting together a gift basket for them.
It'll have Champiange, wine glasses, roses, bubble bath, etc. in it. But I dont drink Champainge a lot. So i have no clue whats good, whats bad, whats really expensive and whats cheap.
If anyone can offer me any kind of help with this Myself and the rest of the staff would be very pleased!
We try to make our guests feel right at home so we dont want to give them a crappy champainge.

An upscale restaurant in our town just had a champagne tasting. The results were surprising and refreshing - you don’t need to spend a fortune on a good bottle of champagne. Here are the favorites:
1. Barefoot Bubbly (about $9 / bottle)
2. Korbel Brut, extra dry (about $12 / bottle)
3. Cristalino Brut (about $10 / bottle)
4. Brickstone Cellars Extra Dry (about $5 / bottle)
and
#5 is our favorite - Prosecco Italian sparkling wine ($13 / bottle)

A lot of the supermarkets have good offers on from time to time, I always pick up a few bottles when they are on offer as special occasions occur all the time. )
