When the world doesn't end on 12/21/12, when will the new not-the-end-of-the-world date be?
Now it has to be at least a little while in the future, or else people will get armageddon fatigue, and nobody will listen to these particular attention-starved idiots.

Just to be serious, hate that; according to the information doubling theory, at the current rate of information flow/doubling of information reaches unmanageable rate right around that date. It's only 3 yrs away, so the numbers can't be far wrong. At that point, info will be doubling at the rate of a nanosecond making it all useless. So I interpret that prediction not to mean the end of the world, but the end of society. Incidentally, there's an ancient myth that says, Atlantis was destroyed by the exact same thing, and all the knowledge was lost. And, of course, more recently, the East German Police, the Stassi, fell from too many people collecting information and no one doing anything to the benefit of society. If you think this is all theoretical BS, go to the Motor Vehicle Bureau and ask for your record. Tell them you're fighting a parking ticket or some story like that. See what comes out.

I do not believe you are seriously awaiting for the event and if it happens you will ask God why? Or maybe you will not have time anymore to question it.
Think of the prediction like in the Book of Jonah, it did not happen because people repented and turned away from their evil deeds. Instead of mocking the prediction why don't we all try to do the same, I do not think there is anything wrong with trying to be good with ourselves and the rest of the living creatures around the world. Is there anything wrong by helping our environment? is there anything wrong by living in a peaceful world without wars? Is there anything wrong with people trying to say that the world is at hand when it simple message only conveys the intention for the world to do away too worldly a life?
True or not true to happen, will you not feel good if the world turns to be more loving, compassionate, merciful and understanding with one another? or are you really so evil minded that you always try to mock a good intention?
You have nothing but to be joyful if the event will not take place but for your kind of people I hope that your life will be spared to witness it and imagine how it is to live alone among the dead bodies around you.

1998 to 2012 Gordon-Michael Scallion predicted major catastrophic earth events: global warming, melting polar ice caps, earthquakes, volcanoes erupting, etc.
21st century: Thomas Chase predicted that when the world's population reaches 6.66 billion, the war of Armageddon may occur. It has already passed this number. 6
Before 2019: Tathagata predicted in 1999 that the end of the world as we know it will happen within the next twenty years. an imbalance in gravity will cause the disappearance of all civilizations by a 1000 meter high tsunami, as well as earthquakes, volcanoes and "crustal formations. ... Most of creatures are to be exterminated." 7
The point is - Don't worry. There are plenty of nut cases out there making predictions. And they will continue to for hundreds of years.

I'm guessing they'll start focusing on 6/6/66 -- or June 6, 2066.
They seem to have a thing for wacky numerical coincidences.
And that gives 'em 50 more years or so to work everybody back up into an armageddon lather.
Peace.

Anyone who claims to know the end of time is wrong. No one knows the date, not even Jesus. God is the only one who knows, and when it is time, He is going to say to Jesus It is time. I am sorry you do not believe, because there is so much evidence to prove God exists, and also Jesus. People want to believe they can predict the end of time by the signs, but the signs have been here for all of time. I pray that you will find someone to talk with about God. There is a gentleman who used to be an atheist. His name is Lee Strobel. He is now a Christian. You may be interested in reading some of his material. I wish you all the best. Thank you for reading my answer.

they are normally based between 7 and 13 years apart so earliest possible "prediction" is somewhere in 2019 or 20 ish
how is there even such a date as 12/21/12 the 12th of the 21st month?

Why do people have to believe that world will end on a date with the same numbers, 01/01/2000 12/12/12? Do you really thing God has a calendar with "end of the world" written on it?

3000.
There is no date after 12/21/12. This is based on the Mayan calender abruptly ending on that date. After that they will say it is just a few days off. How are you so sure it won't?

The world isn't going to end on this date .This date is only 3 years away, and the tribulation period is 7 years long . 31/2 years of peace (we don't see world wide peace yet), and 31/2 years of world wide war . So it's impossible that the world is going to end on 12/21/12 .

Oh, someone will come up with something, especially if there is money to be made on it.
Do you know how much was spent on the Y2K nonsense, and that at least made some sense? Even the Amish were getting rich because people were buying their kerosene stoves, lamps, etc.
