POLL: What is the best movie soundtrack?

And, this is just the tip of the iceberg...my collection of music is mostly soundtracks, and I LOVE film scores!

The only soundtracks that really spring to mind are of older movies but I'll see if I can add a few from this century ;D

* THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS [1992: Score composed by Randy Edelman & Trevor Jones] - great classical theme instrumental music...each piece of music is different yet links to each other almost like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.

* TOP GUN [1986: Score composed by Harold Faltermeyer, guitar work by Steve Stevens as well other songs by various artists] the quintessential soundtrack with a little mix of everything, The Top Gun theme by the aforementioned gentlemen, Kenny Loggin's "Danger Zone", Cheap Tricks' "Mighty Wings", Berlins "Take My Breath Away" and okay, this isn't in the soundtrack from memory but Tom Cruise & Anthony Edwards' "You've Lost that Loving Feeling".

The Wall is glaring yet once you prefer 3 that are tremendously fascinating attempt The Deer Hunter ( 1978, Cavatina is a classic), Blade Runner ( 1982 astonishing) and maximum those days Pan's Labyrinth that's hauntingly fascinating.

I really like the soundtracks from 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'Titanic.' The music is so intense and beautiful.

I like the Twilight Soundtrack. I have it on my ipod too, and I know almost every word to all of the songs. :DD

I really liked the Donnie Darko soundtrack.
