What Psalms do you enjoy reading, and why?

What Psalms do you enjoy reading, and what is it about that psalm (or those)?

For example, Psalm 88 when you're upset about something, because it shows a new light of talking/venting to God.

Or Psalm 121 because it helps you when going through hard times.

Etc...Which ones do you like to read, what do they help you endure (if anything), and why?

    Psalms 137:8-9

  • Psalms 23

    I have lived long enough to appreciate each and every word!

    I have died and come back.

    I know this Psalm by heart.

    ...and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

    Psalm 51 thsi is the psalm David wrote after being confronted by Nathan about Bathsheba. As so often is the case in life we tend to screw up. This passionate apeal to God after Davids failure and sin and Gods ultimate acceptance and renewal is a comfort to me.

    Psalm 37. Why? Just look at it. Isn't it full of promise, evidence of God's love for His children? Also, isn't it showing us the difference between the world and the chosen? As in How God treats His children compared to His children.

    3 Trust in the LORD and do good;

    dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

    4 Delight yourself in the LORD

    and he will give you the desires of your heart.

    5 Commit your way to the LORD;

    trust in him and he will do this:

    6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,

    the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

    7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;

    do not fret when men succeed in their ways,

    when they carry out their wicked schemes.

    Psalm 1 - I memorized it when I was a child. It is still true. Psalm 37 is great also.

    I like the first one third of psalms because they are mostly prophetic. I especially like Psalm 22. It describes in detail of the crucifixion and death of Christ ,,, right down to the Roman soldiers gambling for Christ's robes.

    Psalm 23, 51 and 91

    Read it to truly know why.

    Psalm 23, too obvious of an answer. But it's so vital.
