Will something bad happen if I conceive right after I go off the pill?

I know you have to wait a month after you go off the pill and before you start trying. But why? If I don't wait a month could it hurt my chances of getting pregnant? Will something bad happen if I conceive in this month?

I don't think anything bad will happen. There are plenty of woman who have gotten pregnant right after stopping bc and others who have gotten pregnant while still on it. Baby Dust!

You don't have to wait a month. And nothing bad will happen if you conceive right away.

(It can be helpful to wait until you have one normal period, simply because some women DON'T ovulate the first month off the pill, so if you don't get a period, you might know know if you are pregnant, or just taking a little longer than average to start cycling again. But if you want to start trying, you can. If if you DO conceive the first month, (and find out due to symptoms) and aren't sure of your dates, the doctor can do an early ultrasound.)

I went off the pill 2 years in the past. i ended the %. i became into on as quickly as we desperate to conceive and then only did no longer get a sparkling %.. I had my era you get for the period of your placebo week and then my era got here 24 days later which became into 10 days until now then it would've been. i became into in no way a 28 day cycle formerly the pill, i became into on the pill. I knew my cycles might postpone a lot when I went off the pill. I have been given pregnant the subsequent cycle. i might advise waiting a cycle to make sure each thing is working great without the pill and then initiate attempting to conceive. If the bleeding keeps then that's in all hazard your era. The cramps I had after going off the pill have been the worst that they had ever been in my life. whether it did get extra beneficial with each cycle I had. Ovulation tests are sturdy to have yet no longer consistently sturdy. I did miscarry that toddler regrettably yet my OB suggested the pill had no longer something to do with it. no longer announcing the pill could no longer reason problems with being pregnant. i became into in no way instructed to attend to get pregnant however. sturdy success.

Usually it's recommended that you wait as it's easier to tell the conception date, therefore give you a good date you're expecting. It's not dangerous as some women fall pregnant while still ON the pill. It's better to wait until it's all out of your system but if you do fall pregnant, you shouldn't worry!
