Bologna allergy in 13 month old son?

also has had reaction to summer sausage, and Wendys chicken nuggets (but can eat Tysons brand). narrowed it down to flavorings, or preservatives. I rubbed a little paprika on his arm with no reaction, What else could it be? I dont want to put him through the painful allergy tests the drs do if its not necessary.

Just go ahead and do the allergy test, you don't want to accidentally trigger a major attack. The needles are really small, and he won't even remember it. If you have narowed it down to the bologn summer sausage, and some chicken nuggets, have them test for those things only if you want, but please, go get the tests.

As hard as it may be to put him through the tests, it might be the best thing. I work in a daycare and one of our kids had to go though it. Her mom said it wasn't that bad, but they did find out she could have had bad reactions to some foods she was going to start introducing into her diet.

Good luck and sorry to hear about your situation!

Those are all very processed, it could be a whole host of things. Plus, many things you can't just buy to test at home. It could easily just be so much grease in the food also.

My oldest has had allergy tests and they weren't painful at all, just a bit boring.

It could be hormones in the meat. My friend growing up was allergic to the growth hormones they put in meat. So his mom had to buy organic meat products.
