For people taking Biotin only?

have you noticed a difference in your hair or nails? And I have read that it helps speed up your metabolism, have you noticed anything like that? For those of you who have not tried it no need to answer.

Thank you

Yes, actually. The other answer is right that if your nails are already healthy, you probably won't notice much of a difference, mainly because you probably have enough Biotin in your daily diet or your body doesn't need as much Biotin. Either way, it's easier to see an improvement in something/something that's unhealthy vs. something/someone that's already healthy.

Biotin does help for the health of the hair, skin, and nails and I've seen that when I've taken Biotin. The problem that many people come across is that it only works on the new nails and hair that are growing now, not what's already grown out. Because of that, it may take a few months to notice some benefit... but once you do, you'll see it every day.

After a month or two, the roots of your hair will be healthier hair growing out... the base of your fingernails will be healthier and/or stronger, but that's hard to see initially because of where it is. As the nails and hair grow longer, you'll see the healthy growth more pronounced, but it does take time because the hair and nails grow so slowly.

The skin on the other hand renews on a very regular basis, so you'll probably see an impact there within 2-3 weeks or so... that's when most people tend to see it. I noticed the impact to my skin in under 2 weeks, but I had really dry skin, so it was renewing pretty frequently. Good luck and I hope I helped!

I use biotin for my son and I to keep yeast at bay. It works really well for that. But, in the time we have used the biotin, I've noticed little if any difference in hair or nails, or metabolism changes. We both had healthy hair and nails when we started though. Someone who didn't may have noticed a change.

When I was in college we had to take quite a bit of nutritional biochemistry.

One thing that was made very clear when it comes to B-vitamins.

Unless you have a specific B deficiency, take them all together or you might just deplete the other Bs.

Have you ever tried a B-50 complex? That's 50mg of all the B's except folic acid of course.
