Pink on a chestnut mare anyone?
So, I already asked this question a few weeks ago, but I cannot find it in my questions to look back and see what people answered. I have a chestnut, with a flaxen mane and tail mare. Do you have any thoughts about me making her barn color pink? I found a fantastic pink halter, and it has sparkles on it, so it fits her personality perfectly! Some people at my barn have told me that she'd look bad. I'll post pictures if you'd like...

^ Winter coat. Fuzzy!!
Oh! And, it's the same halter as Klee's horse, except it's a breakaway. She's too young and possibly stupid for anything else!

pink will go with any horse. it would look very cute on yours! my dark bay has a light pink halter, with sparkles, i think its adorable. anyways, if you think its cute on your horse, thats all that matters!!

I'm not a big fan of pink for horses, and would have said it wouldn't look good on a chestnut. But, the Country Supply sale catalog shows a cute chestnut w/flaxen mane pony wearing a pink turnout blanket and it looks pretty good. Check it out here:

Pics are always nice. My gelding is chestnut with a flaxen mane and he looks sporty in his pink gear, but nothing beats lime green or turquoise on a chestnut.
If you like pink, it doesn't matter what other people think.

Pink looks fine on all colors .. Hot pink is best for the browns/ chestnut and bays .

No pinks and bright reds clash too much with chestnuts. I acctually like the hunter green on her. You could go with a purple if you like that looks good on chesnuts. Hope i helped

i don't really think pink is a good color for chestnuts (or red).
instead of making their color stand out... it just blends in and kinda looks weird.
chestnuts look really good in hunter green!
if you want to go for something more fun... try light blue or light green!
my chestnut has all of those colors and looks reallyy good!
if you want to stay with "girlie" colors since shes a mare... go for lilac!
i hope this helps! :]

I think she might look fine. I personally think pink looks best on bays lol. My mare looked really nice in it. Even though I have switched the colour to red and its way better.
I would love to see some pics though. :)

Pink looks very good on chestnuts. My mare looked better in light blue though, she wasn't very feminine. good luck! :)

It's a rule of thumb, you never ever put pink on a chestnut horse, it's almost as bad as putting red on a chestnut. Pictures might help, it all depends what color of chestnut she is.
