Does anyone here feel that the only time an answer is removed it's because it's politically incorrect?
Someone used the term" dumb redneck" to describe hunters I called them on it, I got my answer disqualified but their question wasn't.

I agree, half of the people here ask a question and if they don't like the answer, it gets reported. Does not matter how you say it. But PETA tree huggers can sit and whine about how bad hunting is, nothing ever happens with that. But if you nicely tell an airsofter they posted in the wrong section, you get reported.
I remember the "redneck" question your referring to, and if you got reported for that, there is something wrong. Thumbs up to you! I am sure this will get reported too.

While I do report a lot of answers and questions. I report every anti hunting rant. They don't need to be here. A "why hunt" question is okay, but an insulting rant isn't. This week we had an asker start asking questions about hunters not being manly. By the asker's fifth post it had personal insults and threats of attack were being written in as questions.
I also report answers that have an illegal response or telling the asker to break the law. I try to be objective. But no answer or question is going to be removed unless it is reported! We as users need to take this up on ourselves and police our on section of answers. It usually takes at least two reporting to get a post removed, some times more. The more you put in the comment box the better.
I've only had one of my answers removed, wasn't hunting, but law enforcement. Kid wanted to know how to become a police officer with the question written in gibberish. I told him he needed to learn how to spell. Nothing insulting, just learn to spell. That was removed. When I explained no court in the us will put up with misspelled words in an official police report, it was still thrown out.

I got an answer deleted because the guy asked if the stealth bomber had a 50 cal machine gun on it. He posted it in the hunting section. Every person that answered had a different answer and swore they knew for sure. One guy even swore the stealth bomber was the sr71 blackbird. I told him he had posted in the hunting section, and would have better luck in the aviation section. Evidently, there are a lot of illiterate people on ya that don't realize aviation is a big fancy word meaning anything to do with airplanes. I got reported and they deleted my answer. I appealed and was denied again. Go figure. I spend a lot less time on ya now. There are other forums where experience and knowledge are appreciated.

its stupid, very stupid
not every hunter is a redneck, country person, etc.. some hunters are people with jobs in huge cities, just because someone hunts, doesn't mean that they are a 'dumb redneck'
but i'm glad to say i'm a redneck, i just ain't dumb
just because someone doesn't "conform" with what society says we "should" be/do doesn't mean we're wrong.. i've had that happen to me a few times... its aggravating

An insult such as that may have gotten the question deleted if if had been reported instead of challenged
If the challenge could have been considered an insult to the asker it would have been deleted if reported

I suppose it's how many people one offends, since it seems that Y! Answers has a system of removing posts that have been reported more than once by users.
It is my understanding you can argue with Yahoo over the removal of a post, but often, they'll not do anything about it.

I got one of my posts deleted and I sent them an email and they put it back up. So I have never had anymore problems with them. I have reported a number of posts and most of them have been deleted. I don't know I think it is all in how you say it to them.

There does seem to be some prejudice, partisan, favoritism & preferential, unfair, discriminatory treatment shown depending on who is examining your question or answer.*..." No doubt about it."
