Do you think the media is to blame for some of our economic problems?

Do you think if they stopped telling everyone how bad the economy is we would start spending again and the businesses would do well and they wouldn't shut down .... ect????

The US Federal Government is to blame.

When companies are "too big to fail" then they are too big and need to fail to give small emerging businesses a chance. The Feds are supporting companies that need to be split up or disappear altogether.

Innovation and better ideas seldom come from the big guys. All too often the big companies just try to squash the small companies who are better.

The stinking media is not totally at fault, but they just don't report the news anymore. They are more opinionated. Reported that the fleecing package (stimulus) had passed, but did not mention that wall street went even further in the tank with the news. It's amazing! In 1 month the new administration has managed to wreck the economy even more. A good portion of the USA couldn't wait until W got out of the White House. Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it. And boy are we going to get it!

Over 600,000 Americans are unemployed, that's only the ones that have recently filed for unemployment benefits. I think our problem is more than the result of the media reporting it.
