What are some good products or methods for exfoliating skin?

I use sea salt. I either use it alone or in combination with a cleanser. What I do is wet my face and apply the sea salt, usually in the shower and let it sit while I wash the rest of my body. At the end of my shower I will gently rub the sea salt and rinse. The cleanser method, for me, involves Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. I will apply the sea salt to it and rub gently. There are also many face scrubs that are dedicated to exfoliation alone, but you just have to find the right one. I found this to exfoliate well, as long as you do it gently and not in a manner that will tear up your skin. Homemade options include using this scrub, as it is good for oily skin. Three drops pure peppermint essential oil, 2 tbsp ground rice, and juice of half a lime. Peppermints are cooling and mildly astringent while lime is antiseptic. Try splashing the face with cool peppermint tea (infused peppermint leaves) afterwards as an uplifting toner. Of course it depends on what part of your body you are talking about exfoliating.

The above is written for facial skin. If you want body exfoliation then you could always buy a bodywash with beads to exfoliate. As for facial skin if you want to do this procedure it works well. I steam my face for fifteen minutes, use a mask, then exfoliate and moisturize. Again there are countless recipes online and you can search to find what you desire and what is formulated for your skin. Just be gentle and don't over exfoliate, once or twice a week is good enough, but you can do it more if you please. I hoped this helped and I hope you find your perfect product! :~) Oh! By the way a great mask is just plain old honey and cinnamon, just apply it to your face let it sit and rinse with cool water. Keep doing the honey mask adding cinnamon to it and if you have blemishes they will quickly diminish, not overnight but within a week or so! Hope this helps.
