A question regarding global warming?
Hey "Dr Jello Doctor of Science" as your very clearly the top contributor here, your doing well. Your profile says that your an expert in this area i just wondered what have you studied/worked on. I wondered a bit about your background as your spend a lot of time here arguing that climate change is a lie. Yet you never site any references. So it made me wonder who are you? :)
Im no expert in the subject i admit that im just concerned bout it and have a keen interest in the environment and as this threatens everything i hold dear, i don't like global warming, and hope that we as a race can stop it. Ive never studied in this area ive always been good at geography though. Since i left school ive studied computers mostly :P
How is it common scene djdj1097? Why don't you site some references?

Well, it seems that there is another person here on YA that believes that the omnipotent Dr is a "quack" !!!! He keeps his answers hidden from speculation, and I have yet to see any cross referencing regarding his opinions.
djdj continues this spewing of debatable facts and percentages as he doesn't ever give any references to his source. The COMMON SENSE is lost in the fact that most people will not just take his rantings as the undisputable truth. All references disputing the trends of global warming generally account the anomolies of weather patterns, do not account for the overall rise in the temperature of the ocean which comprises about 2/3 of the earth. The United States has experienced some lower temperatures, but it is an anomolie of the overall global temperature rise. Although it is true that nobody can know with absolute certainty what the affect of global warming will be, or even if there is anything that can be done about it. But I do believe that it would be wise to do everything within reason to limit our impact. That seems to be the most reasonable. To do nothing would seem to be quite the opposite. I don't think that anybody wants to go back to living in grass huts, but if we have the technology, why not lean to the side of conservation? Those that are concerned about global warming are not out to change the world overnight.... Just a little at a time.
Just to add a quote from Galileo when he was being maligned by the church in his observations that the sun did not revolve around the earth.
"It is surely harmful to souls to make it a heresy to believe what is proved."
*this is just a short list of references-But will provide hours of reading- I doubt the doubters will get that far !*

We are not the only cause and humans only affect 0.05% of global warming. Also, fossil fuels, coal, petroleum only account for 2.5% of global warming. GLOBAL WARMING IS NOT A BIG DEAL. It is a cycle in which the Earth goes through naturally and without variables. Humans do nothing specially but people who go crazy about such unimportant things (people who are far left-wing liberals, most notably Al Gore). The reason people blow this out of proportion is because of trying to get attention and making money on the way. The outcome of global warming is an Ice Age but definitely not anytime soon, I would say in about 10,000 years. It will not affect us until then.
I am VERY mad that schools in the US are trying to put into classes that humans are the reason and the ONLY reason. Give me a break, get a clue and deal with important matters. That is the ultimate reason for the US's current economic downturn(ignorance and arrogance in the government, aka Nancy Pelosi.
IT IS COMMON SENSE
It is a fact that 2008 is the coolest year since 2000.
It is a fact that WATER VAPOR is about a hundred more times the cause for a tiny amount of temperature change - 0.6C than CO2 is.
