Little by little the band of Believers grew. Higher ranking persons joined. But Muhammad’s relatives in Makkah were divided. One uncle, Abu Talib, father of Ali who stayed with him; [Ali will later claim and slay his way to succeed Muhammad] another uncle turned against him, and in typical Muhammad style, Muhammad that uncle “Father of Hell” a Surah modeled on the old Arabic invective poems). Later such reviled statements are to become a tool of fear and control for any dissenters. Those who followed him, however, were unimpressed by the boycott of his family and could not be suppressed. Nor did Muhammed’s followers win over the majority of the Makkans. Even after the family deaths in 619, when he family protected him, his position (of self-acclaimed prophet) was grim. He migrated to Abyssinia and counted on the Christian support against the pagans. But his position remained weak and he decided to concede to the Makkans their three chief goddesses as at least intercessors with himself to God. Soon, he revoked his concession and his departure from strict monotheism. A compromise was no longer possible with himself and several godheads, and death threats on his life surrounded him. He escaped the murderous attempts by seeking refuge in Madinah, 250 miles north, a town rent by hostile clashes between two tribes, Aws and Khazraj, and between these and three Jewish tribes. A compromise could only be brought by an outside arbiter. Envoys from the town approached Muhammad and he gladly obliged to intervene in 622. This was a final breach with his native city, Makkah. From this event Muslims date the beginning of their era. Henceforth Muhammad had secured his authority. He overcame difficulties at first by creating blood ties [with forced concubines] between the settlers, the Muhajirun and the natives, the Ansar, and he issued an ordinance which obliged everyone to protect the Muslims! Here began the “royalty” of a lineage and of unjust rule, so much despised in other future countries in Medieval centuries.

In the question above began the first part of my reply giving the researched scholarly history of not only Muhammed, but of the entire locale in which he lived, beginning with the history of the Caliphs, using extensive nepotism, which evolved into a religious dogma, another story in itself to retain control. I can't quite see a question but I do know this....
Christianity was becoming the main religion in the middle east just before Muhammad. Muhammad then claims he had a vision(s), became enlightened and in the end became the founding father of the religion we call Islam.
When the Koran, the Muslim holy book, is analysed as a historical text, it is unveiled as a mismatch of biblical and Jewish historical text. Many neutral, historical textual experts have said it is though somebody trawled through Jewish history and the bible and then written a text strewn with errors both cultural and chronological.
One example is where it refers to the Jews as coming out of Egypt and some being crucified. It is known that the Egyptians never put people on a cross, the cross to them was a good symbol, not used for tortue or death.
The Islamic holy book known as the Koran (or Qur’an) claims to be the final word from God. Only one person allegedly heard a voice. Only one person allegedly saw the visions. The only way to become a Muslim, then, is to take this one man’s word for it”
The Koran clearly borrows it "wisdom" from other sources and not very well. On the other hand, the Bible is based in history, not in the subjective experience of one individual. About forty different men from various backgrounds wrote the Bible over a period of 1,600 years. It is backed by objective, historical events experienced by thousands of individuals. And many of its places, events, and people can be verified by history.
Another major problem with the Koran is that it presents the Bible as being ordained and revealed by God (see Suras 5:72; 19:29-30; 21:7; 29:46-47). Normally, someone or something (in the case of the Koran) claiming that the Bible is the inspired Word of God would not be a problem. But, in the Koran’s case, it is a significant problem. Why so? Because the Koran also claims to be from God, and yet it consistently disagrees with the Bible. In Sura 20:87, 96 the Koran states that the golden calf that the Israelites worshipped at the foot of Mount Sinai in the days of Moses was made by “the Samaritan.” The city of Samaria, however, was not built until hundreds of years after the death of Moses (see 1 Kings 16:24).

As a Muslim, I don't believe in the phrase "other God", unlike many (not all) Christians. There is only one God, the Supreme Being and Creator of the Universe. The are many opinions on Him, but different perceptions won't make Him more than one. And there is nothing in the Quran & hadith that state Allah call Himself God of Islam or God of the Muslims. We never replace God with God according to our ego. But yes, we tend to change our opinions and believe on God according to our ego and somewhat change what His Holy Prophets Moses, Jesus and Muhammad taught us but that still mean we are praying to the same One God..

umm, if you are asking how they all know each other, it's fairly simple. To begin with, Islam branched off from Judaism. The founder of Islam Ishmael was Abraham's illegitimate son with his wife's handmaiden, Hagar. Also, seeing as this was all happening in the same area, word got around and people heard of all these great prophets in each religion. It's pretty simple when you think about it.
