What could be making my siamese sick all the time - and how do I stop it?
I have an 8 yr old purebred Siamese. I usually feed him a vet-sold kibble diet. Sometimes this is supplemented with a can of wet food, or other types of kibble.
However, he goes through phases when he throws up after he has eaten - and I mean pretty much immediately after he has eaten, you could almost scoop the food up and put it back in his bowl.
I also have a moggy eating exactly the same diet without a problem.
The siamese has had blood test, gets checked annually by the vet and doesn't appear to have toilet problems.
Any suggestions would be welcomed.
He's is completely non-fussy, even dragging all sorts of detritus in from rubbish bins and that stuff doesn't make him ill :o(
Interesting about the worming though - he's probably due.

I would worm them and if they are inside cats I would grow some grass in a pot so they have some to eat as it aide their digestion and makes bringing up fur balls easier for them. You may just have a cat with a sensitive stomach. Purebreds are often like that. I would bring it up with the vet when you have his next check up. Another thought is that you should have his teeth checked. If he is having a problem with one or more he might not be able to chew his food correctly and that might be why he is bringing it back up.

My cat threw up to after eating grass from my backyard.I think maybe your cat has an allergy to that kibble diet you feed him. May be you should change what he eats into something else like whiskas. You can buy them here. This website rocks!I bought my cat whiskas and he did'nt throw up or make a fuss out of it. he used to throw up when i fed him friskies diet.I hope you buy whiskas or else maybe something other than that kibble diet thingy.http://www.whiskas.co.uk/whiskas/en-GB/MealTime/de... this helps out with your cute kitty!

Some Siamese have sensitive stomachs. Is he throwing up dry or canned? If its the dry, I would seriously consider feeding him more canned food. All dry is not good for them.

My mom's cat does the same thing.
And we found out that some cat foods
make her sick and my mom had
to buy a lot of different types of cat food
to find one that didn't make her throw up.

My cat did this once and it was after we changed washing up liquid type. The new liquid must have left a tiny residue on her bowl and as soon as we reverted to the original type, she stopped.
