Positive pregnancy test - but no ovaries?!?!?
This sounds ridiculous - but my daughter had her ovaries removed in 2 seperate surgeries by 2 different Dr's. A few weeks ago, she started having her typical pregnancy symptoms (ie: blood pressure headaches, heartburn etc) - she also was feeling "flutters". I thought she was insane. But last night she had me feel her tummy - and there was a no-mistakin' it - OMG - this is crazy... KICK! Others felt it too...
My daughter got both post-op reports from the surgeons, and they both say that the ovaries were removed. Her family doc was concerned a few weeks ago because her hormone levels were NORMAL, and THAT shouldnt be without ovaries either!
Has anyone ever heard of anything like this??? She has taken 2 pregnancy tests & both were positive.
She is really freaking out because she already has 2 sons - both of whom are special needs due Fragile X Syndrome.
If anyone can help shed any light on this... PLEASE??
Thanks!!
She does have a Dr appt tomorrow... we are just not patient people :) I was just throwing it out there...

I think she should see a doctor right away to see what's going on. They will probably want to do blood work and an ultrasound.

She really need to go to a doctor to figure out what happened. If she's feeling *kicking* she's much further along than just a few weeks.

wow... well if she is pregnant after that, what a miracle. maybe she was pregnant when she had the surgery? i'm not sure, but i'm sure that the doctors will do their best to solve such a mystery!
