MotoGP : Stoner...... last year at MotoGP ........?
Well it might sound a little far out, but the fact is, the most laps in one session that Casey has done is 6 laps.

This is the new report from the lastest Qatar test.
Casey ( at the moment ) can NOT do a race simulation as his wrist is still giving him to much pain.
Even though Ducati Corse have said it wont be a problem come race weekend, other reports ( Rumblestrip Radio ) have got reports saying that Casey might not even ride this year.
It might sound bizzare to think that such a small injury can cause such a massive problem, but lats face it, this is what ended Kevin Schwantz's career. not that bizzare when you think of it like that.
So to sum up, yes Casey might be the quickest rider in the test's but will he even manage full race distance ?
what are you thoughts on this matter race fans ?

More than any other sport the wrist plays a vital part,+ it is such a complex part of the body with tiny bones making up whole. He tried last season, before he should have perhaps, and that will nag at his mind. Finally the spectre of Rossi (and others) hanging over him,is it worth it? But I hope proc.is right for racings sake.

Im with Ciccio on this. cant really add to his answer. The comment I like is the one where Casey says he has the speed to run up front but cant sustain it. If the rest works and he is right we will see at Estoril. all the stuff from the Stoner camp is pointing to the right descision to rest himself. and a good recovery on the way. I certainly hope so. and as I said in the email. I think he will be back and not have to do the work Marlboro are wanting him to. Who else can they get to ride the Red beast. Even Lorenzo turned down the money. That just upgrades Stoners worth to me. How Casey feels about the offer they made is another story. It might even be enough for him to look elsewhere 2011. Get well soon Casey.

Hi Wiggysan
I think Proc has nailed this one. I reckon this is a smoke screen, and when the lights go out on 12th April we'll see how much it really hurts him. I'm guessing not much.
Medical science has come a long way since Revvin Kevins injury shortened his career.
Rossi's done similar things in the past. Made people think he's out of contention with an injury, then gone and blitzed the field. I hope thats what Casey is up to. If not it will be a damn shame.

Sometimes it is small things that screw up big prospects.I hope that this is definitely not the case with Casey, he is one of the most promising guys on the GP and it will be very sad if the wrist injury prevents him from riding this season. He's a fighter and Ducati count a lot on him,so he'll do the impossible to stay,I'm sure!

Hi Wiggysan, to borrow a quote I keep reading
Rossi: "Great race."
Stoner: "No, you can't race this way."
Rossi: "That's racing, Casey."
Stoner: "That's racing? Ok, we'll see."
I think its all mind games. I think he has done all he needs to without showing the others the benchmark. all he knows is go out and be quick. he was rained off the first day as was Rossi and Pedrobot, he tested the new suspension and was quick enough. Id say job done.
I think he is holding his cards tight to his chest. showing he is quick enough but not how quick he actually is.
I think he is going to be after blood this year. though the 34 reference is a good point. will you be betting against him at qatar ?

Have wrist problems myself, and it can keep you off your bike for sure. Normal street riding can even aggravate the joint, but I feel Casey is young enough to support his wrist somehow and battle through the pain. Don't you???
Most likely he is taking so much time away from the track to properly heal, and avoid reinjury. I suspect he'll be back when he can no longer stand being away!

i hope so. i like seeing great races with great passes. i used to think less of stoner, but i'm a fan now. (i still want rossi or hayden to win every race though, and see pedrosa finish last or close to it)
