Gallup says Obamas approval rating has dropped 20 points in 2 months?

2 more months he will be lower than Bush was when he left, and he is already lower than Carter was at this point.

So what's up?

Ronald Reagan believed that at the center of American life was the individual. The entrepreneur. The worker. The doer. The family man and woman. The Obama budget reveals a very different vision of the men and women at the center of American life. They are the politicians. The bureaucrats. The interest groups that support an ever expanding government sector.

I don't think the centrist voters who supported Obama suspected he would implement radical economics.

Certainly those of us who wanted change from the pork barrel politics and lobbyist are disappointed by the 400 ear-marks in the Pelosi stimulus package.

Other groups will start to feel disillusioned. The antiwar crowd won't like the long term commitment to keeping troops in Iraq. Jewish voters must be alarmed at the anti-semitic rhetoric coming out of the left these days.

Some people will stay on Obama's team. The teachers uniion and other government unions are getting their pay-offs.

We'll see he could fall lower than Bush's approval rating.

Obama's approval rating will be lower than Bush's by the end of his term? I bet you were also predicting a McCain Electoral College sweep after Obama would supposedly collapse back in August weren't you ?

Oh BTW what was Bush's approval rating at this point in his first term?

Natasha, come on. You know polls are not 100% accurate. No one could be any lower than Bush's. Did you know that our economic output in the last quarter of '08 was the lowest in 25 years under Bush and his approval rating was 23%? Come on Natasha, get with it.

Obamas rating are sinking faster than the Dow Jones... Only the die hard kool aid drinkers are still blind to what he is doing.

I think he is trying to get lower rating than Pelosi...

I notice that you don't link to Gallup's own site, which actually shows Obama's approval remaining steady at about 67%.

    You're a liar.

You don't seriously expect it to continue to decline at that rate do you?

Tell you a curious thing I have noticed though in the some 45 plus years I have been noticing politics.

Democrat or Republican, President or Governor, no matter how bad things are, once a chief executive actually starts trying to do something, his approval ratings go down.

The best way for a President or Governor to keep high approval ratings is to do as little as possible even if his country or state is going to hell in a handbasket.

To be fair that's probably the Republicans that were willing to give him a chance until he passed the trillion dollars stimulus and unveiled his trillion dollar deficit one year budget.
