Old Computer, How much should I sell it for?

I'd like to know your opinion on how much I should ask for my old computer. I might just give it away to someone in need but I'd like help to figure out the value of it.

Description:

Intel P4 socket 478 3.0Ghz (overclocked at 3.2Ghz)

Asrock 915GLP4 mobo.

2x1gb of OCZ DDR400 Ram

ATI dedicated card 512MB GDDR2

80Gb Hardrive running at 7,200 RPM

17 Inch CRT monitor

Speaker, fairly new microphone and webcam.

Windows XP upgrade CD

DVDRW ( double layer burner but can't burn 16x speed dvds )

450W power supply

Floppy with Mutli card ( sd ect... ) reading capability.

I'm thinking this is worth $200-$300. What's your 2 cents on it?

    Hi Frank,

Believe me, yours like mine just a little difference...

    Gigabyte mobo, 2.8Ghz

I suggest not more than $200, sorry if I said may be a little less

am going to use mine till no more support for XP..

if you have a good bargain, let it go.

but if you found someone who can't afford to buy a new computer,

I must say he is lucky if he bought it..

    >good luck!

dude frankly speaking den its better u giv it to some1 in need who cant buy computer due to financial prob as th computers r available so cheap nowadays tht a person who would rather spend 200$ or 300$ would get a newer computer jst by ading few more grants......

i myself had th computer of th same config n i bought a laptop. so when i went towards sellin th older about 3 months back, th max amt i was offered was 10$.....as th hardware n stuff inside is much costlier den th newer once....n when u get new computer for such a cheap price den who wil go towards buyin older for larger amt.....

Take it aside and record the CPU and individual boards on ebay. you could probable get £50 to £one hundred or so for the bits, and only scrap the case. the different selection is a vehicle boot sale & sell the completed device as-is.

$75 tops. Really you should dump the monitor some place and keep the computer. Use it as a server or a back up.
