can a hard drive be reformatted with an external drive?
I have reformatted a hard drive with an external hard drive case,my question is can this hard drive be used in an operating system as the master drive if I wanted to install it into another computer and format it again

Yes you can install it in any new computer and use it as a master drive, and of course reformat it.

you should be able too as long as you set it as the master drive like the other person said
