Why do so many of you only suggest Bleach and Naruto?

They are a good starting point. Think back to your first anime. It probably wasn't Paranoia Agent or something. Series like Bleach/Naruto/Inuyasha even are the animes that get people into anime. And once they watch one of these, they look for other anime to watch and discover the rest of the stuff that's better. These are like intro animes with training wheels, and then people take the training wheels off and see other stuff. Since they have pretty mainstream ideas, people can use them as a starting point.

Alright because it's mainstream anime and they are the top anime and manga because it's on tv that's the reason why. it's the only anime they really know.

alot of people get bored watching Naruto and bleach because they take so long. Naruto is so far behide in the manga and they take one chapter and spam it over 3 episodes which in the end ruins the anime.

there is much better anime out there then Naruto and Bleach.

it is probably because they are worth watching. before asking this question, did you try to watch any of the two shows for at least few episodes, until it gets to the good part? bleach and naruto are two shows with over 200 episodes which are really worth watching and you hardly get bored (ex: fillers=really boring manga sequel=very interesting) also bleach and naruto got unlimited count of twists and characters that will entertain you in their own way, not like a 12 episode anime that "WILL" entertain you but for only a short period of time. also both plots are stunning and once you will start watching it, you will get addicted as I am, so just have a go and try to watch at least 20 ep from each anime and if you don't really like it, the next time you ask for a manga, just say you don't want naruto and bleach ;)

Ugh. I hate both the shows. I get a little tired of the fangirls/fanboys.

I really don't see what's "absorbing" about them either. Mainly Naruto. The show is terrible in my opinion. I feel dumber for watching a few episodes when I was younger.

It cracks me up that they're considered the "top animes." I think that means America just isn't getting as much as we should be. lol

Then again...they're somewhat tops in Japan too. Yuck.

Could be some people are too absorbed to branch out and realize there are better ones. Zombies.

It's probaly just because Bleach and Naruto are among the top manga and animes

there just very popular plus compared to other anime on adult swim it comes on fairly early so u can watch it without being tired

ps: if u can watch code geass but its almost the end of the season so if i were you go to FYE and buy Code Geass epi. 1-5 and it has tons of extra features i love it ^.^
