Does belief in the possibility of UFO's and aliens from other planets conflict with religion?

Not according to the Vatican. They recently released a statement saying that in the Catholic interpretation of Christianity aliens would simply be more of God's creation and thus not cause a crisis of faith for Catholics. Now that applies only to Catholic Christians, of course, but I think the concept is not too far out of line for other Christians. As for other religions, I don't know.

As for what people call UFOs. google/youtube: "TR-3B"

As for what we have been conditioned to call “aliens”, they are actually called the unholy "watchers" or "sons of God".

Ancient antediluvian depictions of them before their imprisonment [2 Peter 2:4 / Jude 6]:

Recent sighting, after Phil Schneider and the boys dug them up [Amos 9:2]:

The "suicided" hero that went to his grave thinking that he had dug up "aliens" that wreaked of brimstone (sulfur):

You can read more about the unholy watchers in Genesis 6 and the books of Enoch, Jasher, and Jubilees. They do plan on pretending to be "aliens" soon as told of in

    2 Thessalonians 2:9-12

All this just in time for 2012. Billions will buy it. Will you?

JUST DO NOT EVER ACCEPT THIS:

Source(s): Research these http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermi_paradox http://books.google.com/books?id=-vZ0BVSHix4C&prin... You do know that the probability of "aliens" showing up just in time for 2012 is about 1 in a googolplex, right?

Belief in UFOs is crazy - seen the tooth fairy lately? Santa?

Aliens - no one has seen aliens from other planets - period.

Belief in an omnipotent and beneviolent God - Better to believe than not believe.

    For some people, yes.

The reason is, among other things, what if THEIR version of Adam chose not to bite the apple?

Another problem, what if those aliens don't seem to be what some people think is God's image? What if they look like an octopus with claws and wings?

Another problem, what if their civilization is 337 thousand years old? What happens to the idea of 6,000 years and Adam?

I suppose it depends on the individual, and the religion.

For example, look up the Raelians and the Scientologists.

only if you idolize E.T. as your god then it conflicts. besides I think it would be interesting to hear what the pope thinks about the possibility of life elsewhere.

    nah.

    nuts is nuts.

religions and aliens are both crazy ideas, so leave the believers alone with their chewtoys and rubber rooms.
