I've seen this on a lot of questions and I'm just curious...?

If people were truly jealous of Jr, then why not just become a fan of his? It's not very hard to pick a driver to like, there's nothing stopping anyone who may be jealous of him or anyone else in the sport. I don't understand what there is to be jealous of. If I were jealous of Jr. I would be jealous of the other 42 drivers as well that race every week. I don't see anything to be jealous of...he sure isn't out performing my favorite race car driver so it wouldn't be that. Maybe the people who think non-Jr. fans are jealous of him are the ones that are jealous because Jr. can't compete with most of todays competition, and they wish he was as good as many of the rest of them so they would have something more to cheer about each Sunday. I still don't understand how anyone could be jealous of him. Jealous of what is my question? If anything I feel sorry for not being very good, and his fans not being able to get excited for him since he doesn't run very well usually.

I can't answer for all Jr. fans, but when I use the term " jealous" to describe a Jr. basher I mean:

They are jealous of the fact he is the sports most popular driver, even though in their mind he hasn't earned it.

They are jealous of the fact that while their driver might be running better in the race, the TV commentators will usually take a minute to update Dale Jr.'s day. Good or Bad.

That he had a ready made fan base because of his name. And that fan base grew exponentially with his ultra successful stint in The Busch Series, and the death of his father. While their driver has gained less popularity, even if they are winning more races.

That even though he has only won 1 race in two years, he was able to sign a deal to drive with the most successful team, active today in NASCAR.

That they are jealous of the fact, that if he wins or loses, his fans stay with him strongly. There isn't a very big drop off in support from year to year, like there is with some drivers. No matter how much they slam him and put him down, we keep cheering and that drives the haters nuts.

My mum - scented candles, jewelry, according to threat a pair of tops or something. issues like that. My brother - Alcohol, according to threat some aftershave. His fiancee - something like a bracelet, and/or makeup stuff :) My son- nicely this is his 4th birthday 2 weeks previously Christmas so this is often troublesome procuring for his stuff! yet i'm thinking; autos (the movie) toys, probable some Ben 10 pajama's, colouring books, play dough, action figures from his fave television shows, or water weapons (we are residing in Queensland, Australia so he can use the water weapons quite lots all twelve months around!). he would be getting issues from his dad, uncle's and grandparents too, so i don't choose too many ideas.. Cousins - regularly present enjoying cards, or we basically have a occasion jointly some days previously or after Christmas. woman acquaintances - maximum probable lollies, candies, makeup etc. Plus, we spend New Years jointly. guy acquaintances - We regularly basically spend New Years jointly and that compensates for provides. yet on the spectacular occasion we purchase one yet another lollies, and/or alcohol :P My puppy doggies - treats and toys :) My son's puppy kitten - comparable as above haha :)

Because they haven't been fans for twenty four months yet,

and they haven't seen his better years.. They don't understand..

All they know is Kyle Busch had a good year, last year, so he

must be the best, and want to know why are they (the media)

covering Dale Jr so much..

Jr is a great driver, and in spite of having one of the worst cars on

yesterday, stayed on, and got back on the lead lap..

I'd tell them to check the lap times, but they wouldn't know how to

do that, and more than likely wouldn't know what that was for..

Jr had a few bad years, but last season met his goals with the new team

Which were to make the Chase, and win a points paying race, plus winning two non-points races, so he really exceeded his goals..

Having two grand fathers, and his dad in the Hall of Fame, can cause a great deal of pressure.. He has stood up to this pretty well..

BTW: I have noticed, that besides the usual suspects, the Kyle fans have decided they need to bash Jr, to make their driver look better, or something.. Puzzles me a little.. Who knows.. If Kyle doesn't pick things up a bit, maybe him, and Joey Lagono can open a restaurant together.. lol

Jealous of his popularity

which comes partly from the LONG legacy, of his family.

He has done pretty well for himself, winning 2 NASCAR Busch Series Championships in 1998 and 1999.

He hasn't done as well in the Cup series, though he won 18 Cup races,

I think a lot of the posters are jealous, that he is so popular, and gets more air time, and "paper" than their driver

(some of which, have won more than Jr)

I believe they are jealous because JR inherited his fans more than earned them. I was/am a BIG SR fan so naturally I watched JR when he was in the bush series. I saw him be the first to win 2 championships and not only 2 but 2 in a row, I thought he was going to be the next big thing but so far all he has done in my opinion is let all his fans down.

To put it bluntly we are just a bunch of rednecks. I included myself in that phrase. We Love to drink beer on sundays and watch the race. If Ya really like a driver you'd almost fight to the death trying to sell your story. Junior inherited his fans and that pisses alot of people off. I could care less. It's part of the fact to not jump on the bandwagon as we all know. He sells tickets and does a decent enough job, so really who cares? I watched his father for years when mark martin was trying to get the title only to see him get wrecked and lose it in the last race. They don't make-em like they used to.

people who hate are uneducated

hate is an unknowing way of showing their frustration

Therefore they must be jealous of his success, because uneducated people don't fare well in modern society in the United States

have no idea... my drivers stats among alot of other drivers are way better than his.

Jealous that Jr is a heavy left foot driver...

Every other driver is a heavy right foot... but Little E is a heavy left foot driver.

I don't need to be jealous of him. I got 2 of the Best drivers that I am rooting for! Vickers and Speed TRB!!
