With the playoffs right around the corner....?
If you're a fan of a team that plays in one conference, are you watching how the other conference playoff races are stacking up? Is there that ONE TEAM you're hoping doesn't make the cut? Which team in the opposite conference do you feel your team would have a rough time dealing with should they meet in the Finals?
I'm not looking for vindictive answers
Bonus: Are you rooting for Columbus to finally make the cut?
TDK: I appreciate your honesty. lol

Although i spend most my time following the Western Conference (Sharks), I do pay attention to the Eastern Conference as well for 2 reasons.
First, when you're playing fantasy hockey, you have to stay on top of all the teams that you have players on and I have quite a number of them in the East. Second, you keep up because of your friends. I have quite a number of friends whose favorite teams are in the East so when you talk with them, its good to know how their teams are doing and even when you don't care for it, they WILL keep you informed haha.
The one team that i wish doesn't make the cut, but is as good as in is New Jersey. Freakishly scary now, though the game against the Isles proves they are human. They are also the same team that the Sharks would have a hard time dealing with should they meet in the Finals. They can grind, they can play fast, and they know how to frustrate their opponents which once you do to the Sharks, they will fall apart.
Bonus: No! They beat us twice so i'm bitter! haha

I would NOT want the Sharks or Red Wings to make it through to the next round, only because they're the best Western teams and they would jeopardize the Devils' chances. I don't think the Devils would have a hard time dealing with any team if they meet in the Finals. They stack up pretty well against good teams. The Devils only lose to the TERRIBLE ones (like the Islanders and Thrashers)!! Of course, avoiding the best teams in the West would definitely increase the Devils chances of doing well.
Yes, I definitely want the Blue Jackets to make the cut because they've never been to the playoffs before.

Lol I had to go look up the standings, I really don't pay attention to the Eastern Race until it's the final upcoming days. But yikes... I wouldn't want Pittsburgh to make it. There on fire with the new coach and they gave a heckuva run last year and now that they got some SCF expeience, if the Wings make it that far, I would not want to play them. Or the Devils, but there gonna make the cut.
No, I'm NOT rooting for Columbus, they've pounded the Wings too much... and Nash really has. And I wouldn't want to face them in the first round.

A: The teams I'd rather not see make the cut are pretty much already in the cut. I think in the East, the team to beat will be either the Devils or the Bruins.
Bonus: Hell, no. I'm more worried about Columbus that I am San Jose!!

I actually hope that Vancouver drops out, but I don't see that happening. Anytime you have a Goalie like Luongo, your team ALWAYS has a chance to win. That being said the team from the west I would LEAST like to see in the Finals would be Calgary. Just think they match up to well vs the B's. If LA sneaks in I also see them being the team that upsets SJ then then beating a team like Chicago or Vancouver to go to the Conference Finals. Where they would most likely lose to say Calgary or Detroit.
As for Columbus.....I am rooting for them. They seem to have a very strong fans base and are EXTREMELY supportive and the team seems to have started to turn the corner, finally. I think all the MLS fans that watch the Crew tend to be fans of the Hockey team as well. The Columbus fans in MLS are very strong in their support and it definitely carries over to the Hockey.

upset....even though if it became into enormously plenty envisioned from the get-circulate, Buffalo did enormously poorly while in comparison with the previous 2 seasons. however i assume you won't be able to easily supply away 2 of your stars and anticipate to be the comparable powerhouse as till now. besides the undeniable fact that, there have been some streaks we had the place we proved that we are able to be a volatile group while firing on all cylinders. we've some up and coming little ones which will in basic terms get extra suited with extra journey and with any luck we are able to acquire some extra expertise in the process the offseason and do away with some lifeless weight. Oh nicely, there is often next season.

Well I am a Sabres fan and I've come to accept that they more than likely will not make the playoffs, so I have to throw my support behind Washington, in the East of course, and either Calgary or Edmonton in the West. Ultimately I think that Calgary will win the whole thing. If there is a team that I hope doesn't make I would have to say Pittsburg, although I would take Carolina or the Rangers not making it too.

I am totally cheering for Columbus. They deserve to make it this year. Unfortunately the Columbus isn't my team though. They are a fave, but in the 2nd spot. My team is the Buffalo Sabres. Now I am hoping that they can knock out Carolina to make it into the Playoffs. The Sabres would have a hard time against Detroit or Chicago if they met in the finals.
Great questions!

Well, I'm NOT rooting for the Jackets because I really don't want for the Wings to meet them in the playoffs. Mason is too good. They're the one team that really worries me. From the East, I think the Devils pose the biggest threat.

I'm rooting for Columbus because I am a fan of Ken Hitchcock.
I'm hoping for a Flyers/San Jose SCF for bragging rights within our family. My brother and his family live next to SJ and when they do good he starts chirping like the bandwagon fan he is.
