Do you ever get so bored for so long that you don't want to do anything anymore?

You start off being a bit bored, then you get really bored and then you get so bored that you don't want to do anything even though doing that thing might stop you being bored?

Has anyone experienced this strange phenomenon (especially at work)?

Update:

Florin - you what? Did I ask for a lecture? Plus, is fiscal fitness something which involves getting paid to exercise?

I experience it all the time. You've described it so well! It's times like those that I whip out a film and get in my pjs, into bed with a hot chocolate :) Or watch films online at surfthechannel.com. Or ultimately have a doze, that always takes away the hours until tomorrow when you can start over. However, that's not as easy at work! How strict is your job? Is there any leaway to have a bit of fun or have a chat?

Yes i experienced it today at college. I only had two lessons in the morning because my teachers are away for some reason. I just sat in the common room for like 3 hours bored stiff. Eventually i cracked and coudn't take it any more so left home and bunked afternoon registration.

Yeah, video games don't even interest me much anymore... I think it might be depression, but I'm not sure. You might want to talk to your doctor about it if you think it has become a problem, I should probably go as well. Well, good luck with that.

yes, I have experience it before. Its like you are bored and you can watch the tv. It might relive boredom, but still you have watched most channels before, so you remain doing nothing.
