Have you heard about the adoptee rights protest in July this year?

Here's the new video - it's great - check it out - and please add your support -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgsQesQP0H8

Adoptees deserve their original birth certificates too.

Let's stop the discrimination.

Update:

Wow - thanks for your support Emily.

Let me guess - you're not adopted - and have your original birth certificate????

    Hi Possum,

Yes, I will try to be there this Summer. This is something AP's, first parents, adoptees, & other concerned citizens can all do together.

Anyone who cares about equal rights for all should try to contribute in some way. It's not just for adoptees. When anyone in society is discrimated against by unequal laws, that should concern ALL people.

Those who cannot attend the demonstration in person can still contribute financially. Click here for more info:

Thank you for asking about this. And thanks to all who work to support this excellent cause.

I will be at an extremely dry and stuffy conference for work that week. Otherwise I would be there.

I have heard that donations are being accepted to support the protest. Does anyone know where people can show their support with $$$s?

Oopps - sorry I missed Julie J's answer on the donations. Hope ALL members of the triad are headed over there to donate and walk the walk and not just talk the talk.

I've heard! (-: Probably won't be able to make it, but if my employment situation improves, who knows?

  • Possum: I would love to go, but I probably will have to work. If by some luck I have off that week I will go and support the cause. No I am not adopted but I believe they have the right to know who they are related to!

It should already be legal. Isn't the right to pursue happiness alone one reason that it SHOULD be LEGAL! Not to mention that all men are born equal.

    What an awesome video!

I wish I could come, but I have an ill child who is getting better every day.

I am proud to be associated with these awesome b@stards!

  • I'm going to go to Philly for the protest on my way to NYC to celebrate my bday this year! I will be 22 and proud to stand by all of my adoptee friends in support of our cause!

Yes, I have heard about it, and I hope that everyone here who supports adoptee's rights will make it a point to either promote the cause or join us in Philly!

Yup, I too have heard about the adoptee rights protest... however am unable to make it because of ::gulp:: summer school.

    Freakin' gen. ed classes.

I'll be sure to check out the video and do my best to spread the word around. Maybe if, someday, the protest comes to the midwest, I'll be able to lend a helping hand!

    Hi, Possum!

I intend on being there. I am also bringing several friends. We're planning a ROAD TRIP CARAVAN!

I am especially excited about the possibility of seeing some of the YA community there! I can't wait to put some beautiful faces on some beautiful souls!

Possum ~ I support the adoptee rights protest completely, it's one thing the UK has got right that adoptees have a right to their OBC as well as having open records.
