What he did became disgusting, incorrect and extraordinarily, inexcusably inhumane. inspite of the undeniable fact that, somebody does not do something like that till they are the two a) mentally no longer all there or b) full of a few variety of inner rage that they try to specific returned, i'm no longer protecting the guy, yet what stable is putting him in a microwave (or an electric chair) going to do his little lady in the tip? I assure, those 25 years in reformatory are going to be only as painful for that guy as those 20 seconds have been for his daughter. he's condemned himself to hell, in extra approaches than one, and he's likely to lose extra desirable than part of an ear in the back of bars, in case you get my waft. in case you have ever worked in a reformatory (I even have) you would be attentive to that that's a thoroughly tangled up equipment. people who've executed quite small issues (like tax fraud) are housed next to those that've committed mass murders. the persons who walk into reformatory sane in many situations walk out insane. The equipment does not artwork. i think of the question to ask here, through fact the guy became already sentenced and that's now a moot element, is what's our society doing to reproduce such violence in human beings? different worldwide places have various issues, yet we seem the only one the place toddlers robotically gun one yet another down in faculties. something approximately our priorities in this society is particularly screwy. And, returned, one extra time, i'm no longer protecting the bastard. He merits punishment. only preserving that detest breeds hate. somebody probably harm him, so he harm the toddler. And this variety of large variety of human beings are wishing hate upon him, that he will only flow directly to hate much extra and harm much extra human beings whilst he gets out ... compassion has to play some section in the reformatory equipment if it relatively is ever going to function. Getting off my soapbox now ...

He destroyed allot of people to include a 90 year old man who now has to work at a wal mart and a bed bound widow who now has to live with her children.

If I had it my way we would hang him from a lamp post and then drag his body through the streets.

Not fair at all It could happen only in America. Bernard Madoff is not a violent criminal. What good it will do if he is locked up? He will not be able to reimburse people which he cheated.

If he is alive and can walk out of prison in fifty years, they should let him go. Meanwhile, knowing he is a clean freak, hope he spends those fifty years having to scrub toilets.

Even if he gets out in 50 years, what kind of quality of life will he have at 120 years old?

Well, considering the guy is about 70, I think being locked up for 50 years will be sufficient.

Madoff will not be alive in fifty years. Don't worry.

Source(s): He's like seventy. Get real.

    Meh.

It would be more effective if the sentence was stripping the skin off his back and legs with a hydraulic powered wire brush. Followed by the incremental clipping of his fingers.

    and finally...

slow cooked in a giant broiler until dead.

maybe that will give the next guy pause.

    "unfair" ...pfft I don't care

    "Torture" ...puh...try "Effective!"

Considering he's in his 70's, in 50 years he'll be dead. I'd say that's about as fair as you can get.
