How many people here who speak glowingly of life in Europe and the political climate, have ever lived there?

Few I estimate.

I live in Europe, I don't speak glowingly about life here or the political climate. Most questions on yahoo are simply about American politics and I answer the questions asked. But no criticism of me should be understood as a glorification of the European situation or model.

In fact I believe in as far as it still exists that the idea Europeans are somehow more enlightened on average is one of the biggest fallacies. People are people everywhere. Yes there are very real differences but far more similarities.

Europe is not some mystical place full of reasonable, well read educated people who talk intelligently all the time, just like the US is not a country filled with fat lazy agressive gun nuts who can't read.

2 years in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom. Many trips to the continent and I also lived in Kaiserslautern, Germany for 7 months after that. They know more about or political structure than we do, honestly.

I worked in England for a few months. It wasn't bad but the UK sucks in comparison to here. I was sent their for training a few years ago.

If you're rich, it's great. Otherwise, it pretty much is like living in New Jersey.

And not the nice part.

I use to visit Amsterdamn, in the basement of my parents when I was a kid.

I've lived in London it's nice there.
