I am against the mormons and the church, can a cop do anything if you stand outside holding a sign protesting?
The church hates gays, and discriminates against many things. Like for one thing if you have nothing all dressy and nice to wear for church and all you have is the shirt on your back they will turn you away. Also if you dont get married in the temple, you wont see your family in the after life.... ummm how do they know that, no one does. Plus separation from church and state does not happen here in utah, kids go to church during school, like a little fence is seperating church and state. If you need help the church just wont help you they expect something in return. They also state that they are christians and that they are the true religion, BULL!!!!!!!!!! Where the hell do they get the right to tell people that they are the true religion when they are one of the last religions to emerge, and they are not christians, christians have been here long long before mormons. Also if you want to be a member they will take you into a room alone and ask you if your homosexual and if you have ever had thoughts about being homosexual. Thats a lil weird to me, would you want them asking your children that in a room alone. Would you ever disown your children if they were gay, no of course not. Thats what i wanna protest please comment!!!!

Wow, first of all, I think you need to calm down.
Secondly, the church does not hate gay people. There are gay members. The sexual acts between same-gender (and of hetero who are not married for that matter) are sinful, that is what we stand up against. God has been very clear that man and woman are to be together. No other union is ordained of God.
I don't know what church you went to, but no, they don't kick you out. You might feel uncomfortable cuz everyone else is in a shirt and tie. My husband sometimes wears a nice sweater and khaki pants. He's never been thrown out. Go to the D.I. they have plenty of church clothes there for cheap.
If you don't get married in the temple AND keep your covenants - then your MARRIAGE won't be eternal. Doesn't mean you won't see your family. Means your marriage and family unit will not exist.
Kids go to seminary. It's called "released time". How much more separation do you want?
I think you need to settle down. If you want to protest... think about who is "feeding" this awful feeling you have. You can only feel two spirits - one is from God and one is not. Where do you think this spirit you are feeling, that is making you upset, is coming from?? Not the Lord.

As long is it isn't on Church property feel free to do so. You could try protesting at BYU. You might have to get approval for it, but most universities are open to free speech. Or you could stand around during General Conference and protest with the rest of the protesters that protest during that time period. Their are lots of ways to gain attention against the LDS community.
I don't feel it will gain you anything. But I am a fond person of stating my say in life, and letting others have the right to say so as well. So rant on and protest all you like. God bless.

I can see that you do not like the lds faith and do not understand a lot about it. I would think that if it is public poverty then you could protest there. If you are talking about doing it doing general conference like so many others than you have to get a permit to do it and have to be in the protester area. What about kids going to church during school hours. If you are talking about lds seminary for 9th graders and Junior high then we have an option of talking the class. It is not like it is required that we take but the church encourages us to take it. I really enjoyed Seminary and so did and others that are took it. It helped me learn more about the gospel.

Why bother?
You protest will not change the views held by the followers of any religion.
People believe for many reasons but many such as the sort of people you describe do so on blind faith and dogma...
your wasting your time and energy...why not put it to constructive use and actually do something that will help the people you are so concerned about like a services for homosexual people, etc.
Also by protesting you make yourself no better than them....after all isnt the problem the fact they are trying to force their beliefs onto others, by protesting you yourself are doing the same thing!

I think you're a little confused. Sit down, breath in and out with your stomach. Focus on the breath and just calm yourself. You are all over the place here.
Let's think about what your saying here. You are saying that mormons discriminate against gays. So the only solution to your problem is to discriminate against mormons. Im going to be honest with you, that line of reasoning just doesnt make any sense rationally.
If you think they are wrong, then show them through the way you live. Encourage people through discussion and debate that your correct. Running around with a sign in your hand and getting angry isnt going to change a thing and you are just going to look dumb. I dont think you want that. I dont want you to look dumb either.

You need to make sure that check with the local state and civil regulations. Some cities require permits, and some don't.
Otherwise, yes, you are free to protest outside the local Mormon church, as long you are not on their property.

As long as you are on public property you can protest anything you like, as long as your signs do not violate your community's decency laws. For example, a sign that says **** Mormons might not be a good idea. Also, your local authorities may or may not require a permit.
This assumes that you live in the U.S. In another country, the laws may be different.

would not your Bible (excuse me...e book of Mormon) say which you may love anybody? Why do no longer you in basic terms turn the different cheek? You non secular freaks have led to greater hate, discontent, wars and loss of existence then greed and capability have led to whilst prepare. you may all be embarrassed approximately yourselves. Assuming that there is a God and he's staring at your (non secular human beings) overall performance do you rather think of he approves of your hatred spewing representatives, your Holy Wars, your Jihad, your Crusades and your inquisitions....all interior the call of GOD.

Opinions are kindof like underwear, everyone has some, however most have the sense to limit who they show. If you want to protest you may, just not on Church property. Just don't expect to have too much in the way of results.May God richly bless you.

You can protest all you want so long as you don't trespass. It may be more productive to simply leave those people alone and get on with things. There will always be screwballs in the world.
