Can someone please explain to me how to use progesterone cream for LPD?

I have a LPD. My LP is only 7-9 days. I was advised to use progesterone cream. Now, I know, well, I think I know, you use the cream: 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon daily in soft areas inner thighs abdomen etc. From ovulation until when? I know that if you know your pregnant that you HAVE to keep using it. What if you don't get pregnant? Then when would I stop using it? Also, has anyone had any prego's from using it? Thanks lots!!

**Baby Dust** to all!

Update:

Thanks Ladies! If I use it for 14 days, won't that make my cycle super long because I ovulate so late anyways? Or will that matter? Sorry, don't mean to sound slow.. just trying to understand :-)

Use it after ovulation for either 14 days, or until AF shows!

    Good Luck!

If you use it before ovulation, it will prevent ovulation.

In my attempts to get pregnant, I put myself of natural progesterone cream. I used it after O 'till I started. I think it made me late, so after a ton of neg hpts, I just stopped using it. It made my period that month really bad. And yes, if you conceive, continue to use it until you talk to your dr. I finally did concieve w/ out progesterone cream and my infertility dr. put me on progest. suppositories. They 100 mg, which in the cream form would equal about 1 whole teaspoon depending on the amount stated on packaging. (Mine was 20mg per 1/4 tsp) Anyway, I think it's worth a shot and def.
