A friend of mine is on a 90 day tourist visa, which is almost up, and he wants to stay longer.
Can he leave for a few days and come back? - and have another 90 visa?
***I need websites to be cited here.***
I know he can apply to Korean Immigration, but translation is going to be a problem, so can he leave and come back in a week and have another 90 days?

Per the Korean embassy Website http://www.koreaembassyusa.org/, US citizens may stay in Korea for up to 90 days without a visa. There was no information on the website about if a person could leave Korea for a day or two and then return for another 90 days, but I believe that a person can. When I lived over there, I knew people who would spend a weekend in Tokyo and then come back to Korea for another 90 days. Most of these were undocumented English teachers. The website may have a way to pose your question through email. Good luck.
P.S. From personal experience, I have found that some of the people in the Immigration Office do speak English.
