How can you believe in an all-powerful God yet say God battles Satan? It doesn't make sense...?
You believe God is all-powerful but you think Satan is an equal power to God, in that God and Satan battle each other. They do not battle each other, God will always be greater than any being or thing that exists. God cast Satan out of Heaven because Satan got a big head and thought he could be as powerful as God...which he couldn't and never will be...that's why GOD, the more powerful (all powerful) one cast him out of Heaven. God and Satan are not equal, I'm surprised those who call themselves "Christians" could even believe such a thing. Does anyone read the bible anymore? Really how can you call yourself a Christian, a follower of Christ, yet you don't read His Word which tells you all about Him. Sheesh, I might as well call myself a chicken when I'm in the chicken coop collecting eggs.
Typically if you consider yourself a certain belief or religion, you study its' information hand book...no?

The fact that you are in a garage does not make you a car. I totally agree with you in the sense that many Christians turn on their mouths without consulting their brains, nor the Bible, for that fact.
But keep in mind that, like all other contestable issues in life, there is always this group that will give the bad reputation. In the case of us Christians, it is imperative we read and understand the word of God. It can be very much misinterpreted making our God look less than what He is, the Creator of all good things in life.

The battle exists within each person ONLY. The seeming wars are actually opportunities for Souls who came into this life to experience War.
One has choice to engage in negativity and does so because this is how Souls explore and experience Life. The Law of Karma is simply as one sows, so shall ones actions be visited upon oneself in some future life. Simple and Absolute.
Satan is just the negative power who is the administrator of the three lower planes of Creation: The Causal realm, the Astral realm, and the physical realm of which everyone is aware.
To view an entity such as Satan gives people an opportunity to "blame" something other than themselves for their negativity. In Karmic terms, it is ones own MIND that monitors every thought and action one has or takes. For every Karmic action one takes one will receive the same action taken against oneself in some lifetime. No exceptions, no alterations, and no excuses. The Law of Karma is an Absolute Law.
Peace

I dont know of any real christian who thinks Satan is equal to God. The battle is not between God and Satan. Satan has already lost the battle to God and was kicked out of heaven for it and will one day be cast into the lake of fire (not the same thing as Hell).
The battle now is between human souls and who those souls choose.
For a example:
You have not yet defeated Satan. Your soul is still at stake. You have your spirit crying out to God and your sin nature crying out to satan and sin. Its your battle niow. You can either choose to follow Christ or choose to follow Satan. You are either for Jesus or against him.
So I am a christian and I do not ever think Satan is equal to God nor battles God. Satan has lost and he now trys to defeat me. He trys to tempt me into a lifestyle of sin. I choose not to because I have heard the message of Christ. I choose to believe the message of Christ. From hearing it and choosing to follow it I learned what Jesus taught so therefore I could repent of the sins. I repented of them and then following Mark 16:16 and Acts 2:38 and 1 Peter 3:18-21 I choose to obey Christ and be baptized and in those waters I was baptized into Christ and he (not me nor the water) crucified my sin nature and I became alive in Christ.
Obey Christ and not men. Make sure you are going to the right church..not a church that is mostly right. You are either a christian following Christ or not. Best luck.

hi Kool-help, a real Christian right here to respond to your Q. it rather is fairly straight forward relatively. because of the fact devil delivered forth the situation*, whilst in Eden he lied and reported to Eve that God did no longer tell her the actual fact. as though God have been protecting lower back some thing it rather is for our very own reliable. God has given guy the 'time' to teach out even though if or no longer *God has the main appropriate to rule mankind*. sure, he's the Sovereign Lord of the universe. and could squash devil like the infesting, devouring demon that he's. yet, then that would not coach out the actual fact. edit: I basically went and look at the different solutions, in the previous me. No ask your self you asked... "Is there any reliable clarification why curiously no Christians are keen to respond to this Q."

Yeah, you tell'm girl
Isn't it obvious; god needed to create satan so that he could eventually cast some of the souls he created into hell for not believing in him in the first place.
Hmmm ya know what; none of this makes any sense does it.
Hmmmm; worse yet, how could you have an omnipotent superbeing not knowing what his creations would do?
Hardly omnipotent.
Wait... Maybe god is omnipotent and we just dont have any free will to choose anything and are just meat puppets.

Nothing about God, The Holy Bible, or Christianity makes any sense.

Sweetie, that's a common misconception. Satan is the adversary of MAN, not God.
WE battle with Satan. Not God. And it has NEVER been claimed that Satan is equal to God. Satan can not create life.

The only power Satan has is whatever God gives him at any given time.
God alone is Lord.
Lord of lords and King of kings.

Maybe Satan and God don't battle. Maybe Satan works for God. Kind of like his "secret shopper" on earth, testing people.
I don't believe in either of them, but I think this scenario fits the characters and plot development of the Bible nicely.
